Dollar General — Local services in Clinton

Okay, so I was all geared up for disappointment. DG's are tiny, poorly-lit hovels in the "bad" side of town, right? Well, not this DG! I had real shopping to do, but I thought I would give this store a try, to hopefully avoid yet another 30-mile round-trip trek to Walmart... and it worked! They literally had everything on my list, and the store was so peaceful and shopper-friendly, I actually ended up spending over $100... in Dollar General! The only thing they don't carry (at least as far as I could see) is meat and produce. They've got a decently-sized frozen section and the refrigerated staples. Will it replace a grocery store? No. But it's a decent substitute for a Walmart trip... and that's definitely...

Not happy with this location. Staff was ok. Stock level was ok, too much actually. Stacks of bottled water on the floor in multiple places. Stacks were in front of the regular shelves so you couldn't see the price tag on the shelf. I had to physically move cases of water to find prices. Found them, then when I got to the register, they over charged me for the case. I mentioned it to the staff member, she basically said that they'd check it out later.
