We stumbled upon this cozy Mexican style bar & grill on our way home to Arizona. My husband loved the Smash Burger, calling it one of the best he’s had. I tried the La Pina, served in half a pineapple, such a fun presentation! The portion was huge, so I shared half with him & still had leftovers to take home (bonus: lots of fresh fruit on the pineapple). The staff were incredibly kind, just so genuinely lovely, even brewing us fresh coffee late at night. Don’t be put off if it’s quiet outside, this place is more of a hidden gem than a bustling chain steakhouse, but the food & service are top-notch. It’s quaint & delightful for a good meal. Highly recommended!

This food was nearly inedible. I ate the meat only out of my Enchiladas Suiza. My rice was stale. My son ate most of his burger. It was ok, but the fries were super soggy. The salsa and chips on the table were not great either, but probably the easiest to choke down after my plate was gone. The chips were stale though too I can’t imagine it being worse. The server did ask if I needed anything else, but I just don’t know how they could have fed me something good.

I haven’t heard my wife say “This is delicious!” for a meal in a long time. She had the ceviche and loved it! Nothing special here except the food and service. The cheese dip that comes with the chips is the best I’ve had. It has a lot of flavor. Worth the trip.

Tonight was our first time eating at 2 Route 66 Bar and Grill and I can 100% say it will definitely not be our last! Our food was incredible. We started out with chips, salsa & cheese queso. My husband got an enchilada plate and I got a ribeye with baked potato & salad. I've eaten many steaks in my life but this steak was absolutely the best. Perfectly grilled and so tasty. Real bacon bits for the baked potato & homemade ranch dressing on my salad topped off an absolutely delicious meal. My husband loved his enchiladas, rice & beans. He said everything was seasoned perfectly. I tried some of the amazing green sauce from his plate and loved it! In addition to the delicious food we were fortunate to meet and speak with the owner & cook, Lucas. He told us this is a family run business and we could both feel the pride & passion he has for his restaurant. We had a group of 8 and ordered a wide variety—from steaks and chicken wings to ceviche, a cheesesteak, and the amazing Lu Special. For appetizers, we shared fried pickles and the choriqueso dip—both were absolutely delicious.

Every single dish was full of flavor, and we all agreed this was the best food we’ve had west of Arkansas. The service was outstanding, friendly, and attentive. They even went above and beyond to make the best ceviche I’ve ever had—even though it was no longer on the menu!
