A pleasant experience, great antiques, and wonderful service 😀 We visited Clinton, on St Patrick's Day, a Monday... Parked right on the street, 50 cents bought 2 hours, right out front of The Antique Market.
Stepping inside we noticed how 🤔 clean, precise, and well structured each area of the store was developed. Primitives were nice, clean, with period pieces around them. Crocks, textiles, oil lamps, and all things from the homes of that time.
My interests are vintage 1800s to 1930s home goods with radioactive components, like radium or uranium. I carry a UV light and search for glowing green objects, accompanied by a Geiger Counter.
I spotted several potential items and explored, unfortunately most were weaker levels than I like. I mentioned it to Lucy, the shop caretaker and she became very engaged. She took me around the store testing for the items I was seeking.
We confirmed several nice items were vintage, with true uranium glazes from before 1940. Her UV light was stronger than my, so it highlighted uranium items mine did not illuminate. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in showing us items of interest.
She told us about Clinton, some other shops to visit, and great experiences we could have near-by.
