S & S Supermarket — Local services in Clovis

S&s is a good supermarket, to me it's not a great supermarket. We usually shop in Albertsons. So we were a little spoiled going into this. It was our first time shopping there. The selection wasn't dismal, but it definitely was not like Albertsons. The personnel were very nice to check out process, I couldn't ask for a better check out process. The lady actually took it to my car and unloaded it into my car. That I loved. That alone will make me go back occasionally because you don't see that anymore. My only complaint seriously is the selection. With Walmart being burned Right now and us waiting approximately 6 months to a year before we can get Walmart back which I can't stand, we're stuck in a couple choices. Albertsons Lowe's or s&s. Customer service? I went here just to get mayo and some salad dressings, walked out, and remembered I forgot to use the coupons in my pocket, literally the reason I purchased them. I went back in and asked if they could help me by returning and letting me repurchase them using the coupons. I understand this was my fault, but the co-manager told me no without missing a beat and walked away. This wouldn't have cost them anything! Definitely not the kind of CUSTOMER SERVICE that I was expecting from them.

It's a good supermarket with just about everything you need in terms of groceries. You literally won't find better prices on meat anywhere else in Clovis. Quality of meat is adequate. The only down side of the market is its cleanliness. Lot's of dead flies in the dairy and meat coolers. Other than that, staff are always willing to help and are friendly. It's not going to have the select variety that Wal-Mart has, but as a locally owned Market, it carries its essentials and sales make visits worth while...
