Daylight Donuts — Restaurant in Clovis

A while back I went to a Harry Potter trivia night at Five Heart farms and had the BEST tasting donut I had EVER had. My boyfriend isn’t into sweets and he even kept trying to eat my donut so we bought another! I had been craving these donuts ever since. The texture felt like maybe toasted coconut on top of a cake donut so I called Daylight Donuts yesterday because I knew they made them and asked for 3 coconut cake donuts. Megan the owner is who I spoke to and she told me they were out already. I asked if they would have them today (Monday) and she said yes! While I had her on the phone i thought I’d make sure so I told her about these DELICIOUS donuts I had at Five Heart Farms and asked her if I was getting the right donuts. She said she made them for their event and I actually had a Butterscotch donut that night. She told me she would box up 3 coconut donuts and 3 butterscotch donuts just to be safe and wouldn’t charge me for the 3 butterscotch. I just wanted to say how KIND Megan was to do that. I moved here in June so this was only my second time here and I opened my box today and that butterscotch donut WAS the donut I had and it is just as delicious as I remember. It made me so happy!! If you arrive at 7:30 or later there's a high probability they will be out of specialty items such as cinnamon rolls, fritters, etc. This is a common occurrence. Another issue is that they often seem understaffed: the earlier one shows up the longer the lines and waiting time. Their drive-through can have waiting times of 10 min or greater and going inside is not much faster. A HUGE disappointment is when you wait 10 mins or more and they no longer have the pastry you desired. It is for this reason that I am no longer giving this donut shop anymore business. Whoever owns/manages this local shop does not seem to care about the customer experience which is evidenced by their poor product management and staffing. Love their donuts, but they do sell out fast and yes the staff are not as friendly as some costumers mentioned, but in Clovis we only have 2 donuts places and this one is way superior on taste and cleanliness, so not receiving and instant hello is not a big deal. On the down side this donuts are on the small size scale, but again tasty and sometimes they have some unique decorations and unique flavors. The place itself is very clean, smells very pleasant. So again what are the pros: good taste, very clean establishment, good variety, holiday themed donuts. Cons: small size donuts, run out fast (they are good tasting) and sometimes staff not as friendly, again not a big deal breaker). PLEASE PLEASE CONSIDER GETTING ON DOORDASH...
