We have been with this company for well over 10 years(we were with the previous company they had bought out in our town before.) We always ahead of time for a full year of service. We don't really have other options for wi-fi in our area that are cost effective or readily available for our household. Sure our connection has been pretty spotty every once in a while, but it still worked. They decided to tell us that they would be dropping us due to not supposedly not being able to fix one of the towers we point to. This not only effects us, but numerous neighbors as well that have also been with this company for a long time. The fact that they were upgrading fiber optic cables in town about 10 min away so that they could have free wi-fi, is pretty costly and I'm sure they don't want to spend money on our area to upgrade our cables as well. It's disappointing that they couldn't use a few thousands that we paid to use their service over the years to come up with a better solution, but their best solution was just to drop multiple long term customers. So if they did this to us, they can do this to others too.
UPDATE: I was able to find a better service provider Brown Technologies out of Lockport. Great quality speed and signal even for places with seemingly "bad signals" like Goose Lake. For the past three+ weeks, "repairs" on the system have dropped from my 1000mbps (which is 800mbps GUARANTEED by the contract) to ONLY TEN (or LESS) Mbps by evening time. The lack of communication, the excuses, the resistance, and most of all, the delays without explanation are infuriating. I have lost business because of their terrible repair strategy and after calling every day, I have only now had the chance to contact a supervisor (who hung up before I could even talk to them). This is unacceptable.
Management needs to figure this out and they're NOT. You need to change who is repairing the internet infrastructure, who is shipping the party, who is in charge of this entire repair operation. You could have had a loyal customer, but all I am is frustrated and tired of being brushed off. You did not manage this business crisis and you are not doing what...

After another failed attempt to get us connected, they sent out one of their "in house technicians" and he got the job done. We've had great internet since then and have been very happy with the price and connection speed. Glad our issues were resolved!
We've been waiting for internet installation for over a month and a half. Communication between technicians seems to be poor, as every new tech who comes out seems to not know what's been done before, what else needs to be done, or when it will be done. We are trying to hold out for the internet speeds and the price, but we're getting extremely frustrated with the wait times and lack of communication.
