Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery — Local services in Colma

This review is for a pre-arranged burial. The tomb was purchased about 20 years ago and my father was previously entombed there about 17 years ago. Most recently my mother passed away (2022). I called the cemetery and they made everything super easy at this most confusing time. I am very happy with their services, their prices and their customer service.

I am adding to this review (2024) because my family and I just purchased a glass niche near my parents. It was easy to meet with a representative and go over the availability and the pricing. My family chose a glass niche so we could display a decorative urn of our choosing when our time comes.

Throughout our purchase the family joked that we wanted a glass niche so that we could have a nice view and keep score of the people who were coming to visit us. We also wanted a corner unit so that we wouldn't feel so cramped for eternity. We live in a row house in San Francisco which is located in the middle of the block so we wanted to feel what is was like to finally have some corner real estate. Also, we wanted to be on Holy Ground so that the Vampires could not get us.

Making a decision like this is never easy but by purchasing our resting place ahead of time we hopefully made it easier for those left behind at a most difficult time.

DO NOT WASTE ALL OF YOUR MONEY BEING BURIED HERE. MY LOUIS VUITTON PURSE, WALLET, AND $300 CASH (credit cards as well) WERE STOLEN OUT OF MY CAR! I SPOKE TO THE MANAGER, A MALE BY THE NAME OF KELLY, AND HE WAS OF NO HELP! HE WAS EXTREMELY DEFENSIVE AND DID NOT CARE TO REVIEW THE CAMERAS! EVEN AFTER ONE OF HIS “WORKERS” FOUND MY JCPENNY CREDIT CARD. TEN’S OF THOUSANDS MY FAMILY HAVE PUT INTO THIS PLACE, AND WE’RE NOT SAFE!?! NOT TO MENTION HOW MUCH MONEY WE PAY AND THEY ONLY HAVE SURVEILLENCE FOR THEIR OFFICE!! NONE TO WATCH OVER ANYBODY’S GRAVE. THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM! KELLY IS HEARTLESS AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I HAVE MY FAMILY’S ATTORNEY FURTHER PROCEEDING THIS MATTER . DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GIVE THIS CEMETERY ANY BUSINESS! AS PAINFUL AS IT IS, I WILL NOT BE BURIED ALONG WITH MY FAMILY DUE TO THE REALIZATION OF HOW THIS PROPERTY WORKS. NOT TO MENTION THEY HAVE SECURITY GUARDS ROAM AROUND, THAT STILL WERE OF NO HELP TO ME. PLEASE RECONSIDER THE SAFETY OF YOUR BEING AS WELL AS YOUR LOVED ONES. After my father passed away, Holy Cross Cemetery was extremely helpful and compassionate. They helped me through the whole process and answered every question I had, (and I had many). They were extremely patient and guided me along. They helped order my father's military medal, and were very quick to respond to every email and phone call. They worked seamlessly with Neptune Society (Belmont) and Duggan's so all we had to do was come to the services at Holy Cross.

My father purchased a Niche and that whole process of placing my mother and father there with pictures and memorabilia went very smoothly. I was able to place the items in the Niche and everyone who was there from Holy Cross were very helpful, and let us have as much time as we needed.
