This review is about working with them to create a custom piece of jewelry with stones I already had (but they are happy to provide high quality gems as well): This was our first visit to McNulty Jewelers and it was great! I wanted to create a custom ring that combined my engagement and wedding rings into one. They were very professional and attentive as I explained I needed a bezel setting to keep all the stones secure so I could wear the ring on a daily basis. They were very knowledgeable, patient and flexible. They listen to your ideas, create a wax model with the stones set into it and once you are happy, they craft the ring. Great, thorough process! They were happy to answer any questions anytime. I wanted to have the ring ready in time for my anniversary and they delivered! It is a gorgeous handmade ring with beautiful craftsmanship! These stones very very special and I was nervous leaving them. McNulty had great reviews so I gave them a try and am glad I did! They are very detailed when accepting your stones and give you a detailed written receipt describing the stones. They are fully insured so the stones are safe. They are happy to let you examine your stone through a 10x loupe (incredible to see the stones close up) and give you their full attention to make sure you are satisfied. Upon request and with advance appointment, they can also provide an independent appraisal of the new piece of jewelry. They are VERY professional, trustworthy and happy to work with you to create the jewelry piece of...
Read moreI went to McNulty Jewelers to get a $100 bracelet i had sized down. The first time i went in, i wanted to find out how much it would cost and how long it would take. the lady was not very nice at all, and she basically took my jewelry, sized it on my wrist quickly, and didn't ask if i wanted them to fix it, just assumed. then told me it would be ready in two weeks and will cost $80. So i went in two weeks later and the bracelet was so small it wouldn't even fit around my wrist. so then they the same girl said it'll cost another ten dollars and it's going to be another week. I told her i wasn't going to pay another $10 because it's so expensive already. so i went in the next week and it fit pretty well. a little difficult to get on but i was happy with their work. I loved it until last week when it broke! They tried to make me spend $90 on a resize on my bracelet that ended up breaking. Will not be coming back here, I tried to support local businesses but it seems they don't have the best...
Read moreTook in my wife's Bulova, cheaper quartz 96t58, to get the battery replaced. Gave it to the gentleman in the back and could tell he was struggling to open it up. A few moments later he comes out and hands it to me, ticking again. Then says it's a fake from Japan, I try telling him Citizen owns Bulova and some are made in Japan, but he was so fixated on it being a fake. I know for a fact that it isn't. I disregarded the fact and paid the $10 for the battery replacement. Went home and noticed the back plate scratched profusely. I can now almost piece together that he was just mad he couldn't open it, damaged the back, and blamed the watch for his negligence. Won't ever be coming back for any watch repair/replacements. I don't advice anyone take their watches here. Glad he wasn't handling one...
