Me and my wife went here to get wedding rings that were nice but not extremely expensive. The woman who helped us look was very nice but laid the sales pitch on very thick and I got impatient. I asked to see something less expensive because usually in jewelry stores they will take you to the most expensive section unless you talk them down and that's what I did. But after we had decided on our rings, the woman set up a new account to pay for the rings but my wife previously opened an account at another Kay store and the woman didn't tell us that. My wife knew she had opened an account with the other store so we thought that it would be okay. My wife's ring had been ordered and so was mine. My ring came in fine and I picked it up but the gentleman at the counter couldn't find our account. We had previously spent almost 2 hours at the store and he didn't remember us at all. He went through his computer asking us our last name phone numbers, address and etc. But couldn't find the account. So this told us one thing, that the lady we had previously spoke with didn't make a new account or tried to make one but couldn't because of my wifes previous experience at another Kay store. Aka her previous account. We told the gentleman that my wife previously opened an account and he had to call the other store to find it. This created a big problem because we had already paid on the rings and we had no idea to which account it had gone to. So eventually the gentleman fixed it but didn't give us a clear explanation to what had happened. Don't go to this location. Don't even...
Read moreThis store cares about you! Seriously, the BEST costumer service & such genuine people! My husband bought my ring right before the COVID lockdowns (Dec 2019), so ring inspections were put on hold and for over a year. Because of this, my ring had never been inspected so I decided recently to go into the Lexington store location and have it checked out. Keep in mind, we have lifetime warranty on the ring. When inspected, the manager at the Lexington store location told me that my diamond was cracked and it would fall apart. He also stated that because inspections started back up this past January (I was never informed via email/call), I was a few months too late and there was nothing he could do except to sell me another diamond. You can imagine how stressed and upset I was to hear this news. HOWEVER, my husband and I went to this store location (Fort Jackson, where he purchased the ring) and had a whole different experience. Ten seconds in of explaining what had happened, they told me, "don't worry about anything, we will take care of you." Not only were they understanding of our situation, they were extremely amazed to hear about what I was told at the other store location. They went ABOVE and beyond to make sure everything was corrected and stress-free!! Little did they know this weekend (when we came into store) was our first wedding anniversary and their help definitely made a great start for our weekend celebration! I came in crying and walked out smiling...
Read moreDO NOT purchase jewelry from Kayâs. I paid nearly $10,000 for a custom set of rings and Iâve since learned from several unrelated jewelers that my rings are worthless. So worthless that they wouldnât even make an offer to purchase the rings off of me.
You heard right. Even the metal itself has no value to them because itâs so lightweight. The âdiamondsâ apparently are also worthless to them and hold no value. I went to several respected and even hole in the wall jewelers, and they all said the same thing. They all apologized and felt bad but said itâs the truth.
On top of that, I had my Kayâs credit card for several years and there is no balance on it. Yet the bank they use cancelled my card because my credit score temporarily dropped during a catastrophic personal issue I was dealing with. This led to my credit score dropping more because now it showed I had less lines of credit and less...
