I'm torn on this review. My group (6 people) went to play mini golf with me for my birthday (10/18). It was the first time is ever played (36 yrs old).It started off wonderfully, but it ended with an attendant with an attitude. It definitely left a pall over the whole thing.
We were checked in by a lovely lady who requested that, since we were a large group, we let smaller groups go ahead of us. No problem! It was a weekday, so it was pretty empty. We were having a blast. Multiple smaller groups came in behind us, and we let them pass, as this was the right thing to do to make everyone's experience enjoyable.
Here's where the downside comes in in the form of a short blonde girl with glasses and an unnecessary attitude. It was about an hour to 45 minutes from closing. We were waiting for a smaller group ahead of us to finish their hole. We were approached by this attendant that we hadn't interacted with or even seen at all. She came up to us with obvious irritation to tell us we needed to stop standing around and play. I explained that we were asked to let others go first due to the size of our party. She either didn't believe us or didn't care. We were again sternly told to move it along. We understood it was approaching closing, and we had NO intention of staying past that time whether we finished our not. I've worked multiple customer service jobs. I know how rude it is to stay past closing. If that was her concern, she should have said so calmly and professionally. I even explained that we had no intention of staying late, but I just got the same response. We finished up with a game of speed mini golf (actually fun), and we left before closing.
I want to be clear that at no point in time were we being loud, destructive, or disrespectful to the facility or the staff. We were all raised better than that. I had fun, and the facility is actually really cool. I just wish their customer service was up to par (haha). I probably won't go back simply because of this one employee and her bologna attitude.
If she's not working, I say go for it! It really was fun,...
Read moreTook my 3 year old twins and my teenage some to monster mini golf yesterday in Jessup. They have prices according to height requirements for children and then general admission for adults. Under a certain height and small children are free. I measured my twins whom both fell below the height requirement to pay. I didn’t notice my receipt until AFTER I paid and literally did one hole because one of the twins was scared. So I literally paid $53 for two minutes of golfing. Since my twin was scared I figured I asked the young girl who rung us up if I could just let them play arcade games in exchange for not doing the golfing. Just a game card for what paid for each golfer she ignored me and had my son just put the balls and clubs into the used basket and that was it. When I was leaving I decided to look at my receipt to see if there was a customer service number to call abou that’s when I noticed I paid $53 because I was charged for my twins that were UNDER the height requirement to have to pay. I was so mad at the unprofessionalism. It’s important to note that the young girl who rung me up I believe was not going to charge me for my twins but then Ken which the employer name on my receipt came over and they talked and then he told me my total was $53! I will not be returning. I just don’t like companies that try to charge for things that aren’t suppose to be! I had plans on having my son bday party there. Not anymore! Other than that they are a fun place but depends on the staff members that day. I will add my receipt to my review later today. It’s from yesterday not even a whole...
Read moreWe had such an amazing time at Monster Mini Golf in Columbia! I had been so excited to go and they did not disappoint. The facility was clean and safe. There were multiple hand sanitation stations and clear signs to follow for health safety and social distancing. I was politely greeted by Gabby when we were ready to pay for our round of golf. I had a coupon that was giving her a bit of trouble finding it, but she trusted my email receipt and give me the deal I purchased. Tony stood by to offer clean clubs and balls to use. Both employees had on face mask and maintained clean and disinfected items. The line to start golf was a little back up and Gabby offered us a FREE $10 game card to play some games while we waited our turn. This was such a great gesture and really went a long way with my family. The children enjoyed the game play and they were even able to get some tickets and win some cute prizes before we left. The golf game was AWESOME! The range was fun and all the scenes and props worked! The holes were challenging and fun to play and several families were having a blast trying to get through them including ours! Needless to say, we will be back again. Gabby even offered us a Free round of golf on our next visit before we left. The whole experience made my 6 year old so happy. She fell asleep whispering "thank you mommy" as she drifted off on the long ride home. The you to the staff and crew at Monster Mini Golf. I look forward...
