I have been to several paint your own pottery places over the years. This one is just average. The location is clean and well lit, and parking is great and accessible. However, the pieces are rather expensive, with the price of paint and supplies included in that price. Painting was fun and relaxing. However, we had to wait 8 days for our pieces to be ready for pickup. That is way longer than any other pottery place I have been to. When I got my piece back, there was chip (which could've been for any reason, accidents happen, so I'm not upset about that), and they offered to refire for me. But I did not want to have to wait another 8 days for it, so I took it as is. Besides that, it was a decent experience, I would recommend going at least once. But for the overall price and wait time, I will probably not return...

We love visiting Pottery Island. We have been multiple times and love the variety of items to choose from. Unlike other ceramic painting studios, everything is included with the price of ceramic you purchase to paint. The workers are very helpful. They will let you work and use your own creative juices and have great ideas and helps when you ask. Plan ahead if you haven't done this before. After you paint, it takes 7-10 days to put in the kiln and be ready to take home. The variety of items is amazing. They have lots of figurines, stenciles, stamps, and paint colors to choose from. Such a cool and fun family owned small business! The owners (mother, father and daughter) were very kind and helpful, and would consistently check in to see if we had any questions or needed help. There's plenty of room to sit comfortably with your group and so so many options of ceramics to paint! As a plus, the owner stated that the paints and materials they use are microwave and dishwasher safe. When my group visited pottery island, there was a birthday party going on in a separate room in the studio. So it could also be a fun place for a birthday party. I would highly recommend coming here for a fun craft day with gals, your SO, or just for a stress...
