The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They will help explain the equipment or with selections of material without being high pressure sales people. I purchased my wife a Pfaff sewing machine here several years ago and they helped us select the model that would include the options that she would use yet stay within our budget constraints. They offer classes she enjoys to increase her sewing skills and help maintain her machine. My wife says their selection of fabrics is very good and reasonably priced. She really enjoys shopping here. I have been a customer of Satin Stitches as long as it has been in existence, and took classes from Gail before that. I am a very experienced sewer who returned to sewing after a long absence. The SS staff have consistently been helpful and patient -- they never made me feel unwelcome or dumb. Over the years they have guided me through a number of machines, techniques and interests. I never felt pressured to buy but have learned to appreciate quality in equipment, supplies, fabrics and classes. I've been to this shop twice in the past week for quilting fabric. Both times all of the staff members have been so helpful and nice. What a great place! If you need fabric or notions, they have a wide selection and it's nicely organized. They also have lots of machines on display, though I am not in the market for a new machine so I didn't look closely. I will choose to shop here for my fabric...
