Every time I see a movie here, the facility operates with incredible inefficiency. No matter if it is a busy or slow night, if you want to get an overpriced soda and popcorn before the movie starts... You had better arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled start time, to be safe.
So, after waiting to get your ticket, then waiting again to have said ticket ripped in half by the ticket verification employee, you wait another 10+ minutes to get through the food/drink lines. FUN FACT: If you pay $15/yr you can become a stubs member and get free upgrades and discounted movies, as well as other things. If you see more than 2 movies a year, it's worth it. But also included is: getting to go to the express line. Which pays for itself since the wait times are so horrid for people who aren't stubs members.
However, even with the upgraded advantage, you still wait, and wait.. For the inefficient staff to fumble through extremely easy tasks. They don't even have to pour your soda for you anymore... as you do it yourself via the Coca Cola freestyle machines
The two freestyle coke machines and two "slushee" type machines are located each end of the concessions area. You'd think that having the guests diy this, would make the previous wait time better, NOPE.
Here is where your frustration teeters on the edge of boiling over. They have the lids for both machines (freestyle coke and slushee) between the two machines. In a space that is maybe 30" wide. Two people can MAYBE squeeze in there, but hardly ever. The lids are set so far back that even me, at 6'7" with long arms, finds it difficult to reach over someone to grab a lid and straw without seeming rude and impatient.
Suggestion: put more counter space to the left and right of this machine for people to set their drinks down, and get their lids on... A smooth counter top where guests can slide their drinks down to get out of the way of the people behind them. Have atleast one designated lid and straw space for each machine, so that there are 4! Have the lids first, THEN the straws. Continuing with the "slide your drink down" assembly line suggestion, this would make it much more efficient.
Because think about it, you don't just have people filling their drinks that were just purchased, you have refills. And that's the most frustrating.. You don't want to miss much of your movie.. But you are guaranteed to be waiting for 2-5 mins if you get behind grandma/grandpa/ mom/dad/aunts and uncles getting 4 drinks for themselves and friends or relatives... relatives which by the way are screaming bloody murder, in efforts to once again tip the scales of your teetering impatient temperature, towards its boiling point.
Summarizing, the overall experience is frustrating, due to the incredible and consistent inefficiencies. Be prepared to wait and wait and wait. But, once you get into the theater, it's usually kept Clean, and the staff, are quite friendly, and accommodating. If they had better management, I know these kids would do a much...
Read moreHad a great time. The staff was friendly and didn't overdue the stubs program. The theater had a clean floor and the lighting was effective. The seat fabric is clean but some seats are stained with spills of food or drink. The rails near the handicapped seating where a sore area for my party. We often use this area when members are physically challenged, but, the railing is clearly not maintained daily. Oil is often present on the rails that transfer to a persons hand if used. I cannot be certain, but it appears that persons on the rows behind this area are using them as a foot rest. Exiting the theater is easy and there is often staff waiting to clean and prepare the room for another showing. Ticket prices are a steal over any theater within 75 miles. Concession pricing is competitive with the industry outside of the nacho and chips ( roughly 15% above local competition) Prices for their hot dogs are superior based on the quality of meat used and the condition of the packaging when compared to other local theaters. Staffed floor managers are well versed and experienced in customer retention and employee motivation. Any corrections of the ticket or concession staff is made to not interfere with my experience and is done so by posing a comedic approach. Overall a great place to have...
Read moreok, normally this place is my go to as far as watching a movie in theatres but tonight I had an absolutely awful experience! My family and I had looked up the showtimes for the Grinch online and the website said there was a showing at 5. So then we go to the theatre and the worker somehow charged us for a 12:15 showing. So we go looking for our theatre which is supposed to be #4 and after sitting thru all of the reviews for half an hour we realize it is not playing the Grinch but a horror movie. (My younger sister was scared out of her mind btw) so we leave the theatre and talk to the worker about the problem, he calls who I assume was the manager and she comes over and is very rude about something that is completely THEIR fault. She was snippy and refused to give us our money back and by the time she was finished we had wasted an hour and I was ready to rip the stupid fountain ponytail off of her head. FINALLY after battling with her for at least 20 minutes she gives us passes for the next showing of the movie. I was honestly appalled by the behavior of the manager when AMC was the one who screwed up the times on the site and purchased us the wrong tickets. The movie ended up being worth the wait but next time I will be sure to go to YES...
