Alright, let’s be real here. Hobby Lobby in Columbus is basically the place for anyone who has ever fantasized about turning their house into a Pinterest board. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by everything that screams "I could be a DIY queen if only I didn’t have to pay rent." The aisles are stocked with gorgeous decorations, cute knick-knacks, and more seasonal décor than you could ever justify buying. But, here’s the catch: prices. Oh, the prices.
Look, we all know Hobby Lobby is a bit of a splurge. If you come in thinking you’re going to grab a couple of cute frames or a throw pillow, you're probably leaving with a cart full of items that, at full price, would’ve required you to sell an organ to afford. But here's the thing: even though the prices are a little on the “Are you sure?” side, you know deep down that you're getting quality stuff. The cool stuff. The stuff that you know you can’t find anywhere else, and even though it’s a little expensive, you still kind of have to buy it. Like that quirky wall art that will make everyone who enters your home say, “Where’d you get this?!” And you can proudly say, “Hobby Lobby, obviously.”
Now, I’m not here to lie to you. The discounts are nice, and I’ve definitely scored some deals—usually when they’ve marked things down by 75% (but not without a tiny chip, a weird scratch, or some other minor flaw that makes you feel like you’ve really earned it). I’ve walked out with items that were too good to resist, thinking, “Hey, it’s practically free now!” But, let’s be honest—when I walk in, I’m always wondering if I’m really getting the best deal or if I’m just pretending I’m not secretly crying inside when I hit the register.
But that’s the thing. I love this place. Sure, it's a little pricey, but damn if they don’t have some of the best stuff to make your house feel like an HGTV episode. The aisles are lined with gorgeous home décor, seasonal decorations that make you wish it was Christmas year-round, and random little treasures you didn’t even know you needed but now can’t live without. I mean, who doesn’t need that distressed wood sign that says “Gather” above your dining room table? No one, that’s who.
And let's talk about the atmosphere for a sec. The staff? Super friendly. They’re always happy to help, and they’re cool about you wandering around like you have no idea what you’re doing (which, let’s be real, we all do). You’ll be in there for an hour, and they won’t judge you for taking your sweet time choosing between two identical-looking frames—because, hey, it’s your home, and this is important stuff.
In conclusion, Hobby Lobby in Columbus is a bit of a splurge. Sure, it’s slightly out of my price range most of the time, but I can’t help it. It’s got the best home décor, and I’ll keep coming back to drool over what I can’t afford. But that’s okay—because one day, when I win the lottery (or maybe just get a better-paying job), I’ll be back and I’ll buy everything.
5 stars. Would give 6 stars if they could find a way to make me feel less guilty about that $40 throw pillow I definitely...
Read moreOh, what can I say about this amazing store. Let me start by saying I love that it's ran by Christians, even though I am not a practicing, well any religion, but the atmosphere is so much more relax and inviting than any chain store I've ever visited.
The products are wonderful as well. They are ALWAYS so timely with putting out and taking down seasonal merchandise and switching up the store on occasion. I love how easily you can find anything you're looking for because the employees do such a great job of keeping the store very well kept. If there ever is an issue, any and ALL of the amazing staff are always right there, and are always more than willing to help, with smiles on their faces.
I frequent here very often and would recommend the store, the employees, and the merchandise to anyone who asks.
If you're in search of crafts, anything from scrapbooking to jewelry making to flower arrangements, to seasonal decorations or ADORABLE, AFFORDABLE, AND AMAZINGhousehold decor, and much, much, much, more, Hobby Lobby is most definitely the very FIRST place you'll want to visit! You WILL NOT be...
Read moreI bought some craft supplies for our church preschool program. I was told that if the items went on sale within 14 days, I could receive the price difference. When this happened, I returned to the store. The cashier looked at my receipt and said she had no way of knowing that I actually purchased the items that went on sale. Apparently, the store does not use SKU #'s. Why?? So, to prove that the items I bought were actually the ones listed on the receipt, I had to bring each item back to the store! And part of the items had already been used by students the week before. Wouldn't it be easier to use a system that listed items on the receipt either by description or UPC codes, SKU, etc?? So, I made a second trip to the store and did finally receive the price difference. I asked, "What if I had purchased fabric? Would I just wear what I had made with it?" Yes, she said. REALLY!!!??? And if it had been a large mirror or picture, I guess I would have to take it down and haul it back to the store. Insane!! Hobby Lobby does not seem cooperative in this price difference policy...
