The food here is always great....THE PROBLEM is the employee who is ALWAYS rude! I'm pretty sure he is the manager at this location. You can see him make the disgusted face as soon as you pull into the lot and he knows your coming in. And as you approach him to give your order he looks very annoyed and in a annoyed tone he always says is this order to go...like does not want you to sit and enjoy your food fresh...he wants you to leave as soon as possible. And if you say it's for here he rolls his eyes and takes the order.....this is not a one time occurrence this has been every experience with him in at least the past year. At one visit he was so rude upon walking in we asked him did he really want to take our order and his response was " well I can't tell you to leave".....but we did right across the street to chili's. This man is so rude and has zero customer service skills. He needs to be in the back washing dishes not the greeting face or manager of this establishment. I have previously always been greeted with friendliness and smiles from every single other employee at this location. They always thank you for coming in and tell you to have a good day as you leave. Not this guy he gives you the death stare as you leave. For inconveniencing him by eating at this establishment. Penn station do yourself a favor and replace him. We have watched this man interact with every single customer that comes in while we are there with the same attitude and rudeness. If it's wasn't for the food being good we would never step foot in there and I'm sure others...
Read moreThe sandwiches I have had are pretty good, but not great. The food is pretty over-priced in my opinion. The fries are good (not quite as much as Five Guys, but the closest I know of locally). The cookies are pretty good, but over-priced I think. They seem to have a leg up on Subway in the fact that Subway is more susceptible to flies landing on food than here. I have never even seen any flies in here. They aren't as fast as Subway, but more care is taken in food prep I think, so it is worth it. I haven't had lunch meat from here, so I cannot compare to Subway's, but I probably prefer Subway in price and taste in the sandwiches I have had from each. Subway too has different bread choices which adds to their appeal. But there are different sandwich choices between the two, so it isn't quite and apples and orange comparison (although similar enough to compare). So, Subway only offers chips (overpriced at that), but you can get tasty fries here, so Penn Station comes out on top for that. The cookies here are more consistently fresh than they might be at Subway and are larger, but cost more than getting three at Subway.
I still will eat from here and the Sandwich I have that I think is okay or a bit tasty is a real treat to a friend of mine, so your...
Read moreMy wife and I were in Columbus today 10/27/24 to visit another store in town. When we finished we decided to grab something to eat before we left town. Undecided as to where we would go, we decided to Google for references. I pulled into the Lowes parking lot to search. When we smelled PennStation in the air, our decision had been chosen. We were greeted promptly and our order was taken. My wife chose the med Artichoke and I, the large Pizza. When our sandwiches came, the difference is size was practically unnoticeable. We both agreed that based on visits to other PennStations, our sandwiches were unrecognizable and very sparse on toppings. We ordered 2 small fries, thinking this was the serving size, not the tidbits of potatoes on our trays. 80% of them made great fillers for our sandwiches, but that was about it. My wife actually apologized to me for choosing this location for today's lunch. $40 worth of...
