Originally from MI, my friend and I were in Columbus to see John Mayer. We stopped here on the way to our air bnb to buy a 6 pack and it was the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. I set my beer on the counter as I waited patiently while the lady right in front of me continued to text on her phone and completely ignored my existence. Eventually she said “can I help you?” (Still texting) I asked to buy the beer and she rudely looked up and said “give me your ID”. I gave her my I.D. (I’m 21, but my VALID drivers license is vertical because I got my enhanced license so it does not expire until 2020). She didn’t even glance at it before saying “no, I’m not selling to you.” When I asked why she rudely said “because you aren’t 21, it said under 21.” I pointed out to her that it said “under 21 UNTIL 11-18-2018” in which she replied “ARE YOU TELLING ME HOW TO DO MY JOB?!” I said “no, but I am 21 and my license is valid.” At that point she just kept telling me that “my license wasn’t valid and that I wasn’t 21.” Eventually I stopped arguing with her and just walked out and took my business elsewhere. The owner of the store (older, white, disheveled looking male) lies about the allocated spirits they receive and picks and chooses who to sell to and when, which breaches their agreement with Ohlq. An investigation into this place would uncover that they're moving products (that they have on consignment from the state) out the back door.

The light skin girl that works there that says she is the manager she is very confrontational very rude and please make sure you check your receipt before you pay because she adds additional items to your tab without you knowing it she’s very rude very very. there is other liquor stores that open at 11 there is a store on the Livingston Avenue that opens till 11 this is not the only one in Columbus there’s several others.
