I was involved in a motor vehicle accident on my way home from work one night. I am a medical professional and was riding an electric scooter through an intersection. A car made a left hand turn and made contact with me - throwing me from the scooter and fracturing my scapula and patella on my left side. I spent nearly 3 weeks in the hospital after having surgery and subsequent rehab. I had to work in order to walk again and get my range of motion back on my left side.
