I'm learning how to garden for the first time, so I decided to come by and see if I can get soil and pick some brains. The lady I spoke with at the counter said she didn't know how to garden, but she immediately called a gentleman on the phone (her husband I presume 😅) and let me speak to him! He gave me a lot of great advice about gardening and told me to call anytime I have questions. The other stores I visited did not help me or seemed interested in assisting me. 😔There was an older gentleman there as well that helped me with choosing some tomato plants for my husband. He was telling me how delicious they were! I bought some heirloom varieties: Cherokee Purple, Bluish Tiger, and Abe Lincoln. I can't wait to see them grow!

He also helped me take things to my car and reminded me of the soil I almost forgot to load 😅 I was so excited I almost forgot to get it!

Fat Boys Produce also has fruits, veggies, nuts, jellies, pickles like okra and garlic, chow chow, etc to buy inside!

A neighbor of mine recommended Fatboys to me after having sod delivered by them. I am so glad they did. This place is great! The entire staff is incredible. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and beyond helpful. I have been frequenting them for fresh produce, flora, pinestraw, top soil, sod, and advice.

They have a fantastic variety of plants. I have been doing a lot of work on my pool area and was wanting to give it a touch of the tropics. Fatboys had a great selection of tropical plants and trees. We ended up selecting some windmill palms and a few other smaller plants. I couldn't have hoped for a better result.

I hate to rate low, but my expectations were more than what we saw. There was a small variety of produce & small amounts out on the counters for display to select from & that's what we went for. Also, a lot of what they had wasn't fresh. The refrigerators full of peas, etc, but even those just didn't look like they were fresh. And some of the refrigerator sections were empty & sitting out on the walking floor. I wasn't expecting it.... they had lots of plants/bushes outside ... but many were wilted & obviously not watered regularly. So sorry for the low ratng, but maybe it points out areas for...
