I came back because they were so nice the first time, I wanted to try them again. I won't be back because the manager tried to involve me in a customer dispute after making a racist comment. Last night was my second and final visit here. The host and togo staff were so nice on my first visit, I went back yesterday. It started off well enough. But while I was waiting for my food, a man went outside because he'd left his wallet in the car. He was black, and I only mentioned this because of her comment. He came back and an Asian lady with glasses ran his card, then told him it didn't go through and ran it again. She then asked him to run it again because of another issue so he went to get his phone from someone to check his bank app. He turned the corner and the lady with the glasses told another staff member, "we always have problems with them." The other staff member had just walked up and responded, "what?" She must have forgotten I was two feet away and said, "they don't want to pay," then looked at me looking at her and pulled out a black tape dispenser, tapping the black part. The other staff member walked off and the man returned showing that the payment went through on his app both times. The lady with the glasses then began to yell at the man saying he doesn't want to pay and the man said he had no issues with paying but his app said the payment went through both times. He was very calm but she continued yelling so the man said, I don't have a problem paying but you already charged the card twice so if there was a problem he could call the police or she could because she wasn't running his card again. During this time the host came to check on me, so I asked for the manager, explaining what happened. The host advised the lady with the glasses was the manager at which time, she tried to get me to tell the man he was wrong. I told her the man offered to call the police with the issue and I don't need to be in discussion because I don't work there and she shouldn't try to get a black person to side with her after making racist comments. She then told the man it was fine and he left. She then began talk loudly about me to the other togo staff saying I called her racist. The host whispered something in her ear which made her begin to argue directly with me. She started to yell that the she was talking about the waiter and she didn't saying anything about black people. I told her if you were talking about the caucasian waiter why did you point the the black tape dispenser saying they don't pay. She started telling me I didn't hear that and I told her I'm not going to argue with her and she wasn't going to keep raising her voice at me. At this point the togo staff was trying to rush my food and the host kept apologizing. I told them both that they weren't my issue and thanked them for checking on my. And they did not care to correct it. So we chose different drinks in the process of getting another drink. I ordered a Sprite that Sprite had a bug in it. It did not have wings, it was a worm, it crawled. I went to the manager, or she seemed to be the manager, and I told her, and she told me, oh, it's just some that's from outside. They come in all the time. She was not surprised, and I told her this does not have wings, and she took the glass and brought me back another Sprite, and when she did it had trash floating on the top. I don't know what it was. It was like some type of white stuff and the food is horrible. Now, the chef that cooked our food, he was excellent. But I would never go back here and eat again, ever, in my life. And it's a waste of money. The food is way too expensive for the poor service and the s* food that you receive, if my waitress would have been more concerned about my drink, having the worm in it and particles and our drinks being messed up, then things would have been a lot better and if the manager had any concern. Then she would have fixed that mistake and been more concerned. As how I feel because I know what a worm looks like. A creepy caller, and so they have bug.
