This has been quite a long time coming, but I've honestly continually forgotten to write this positive review.
I already love Harbor Freight and all it's deals and offerings - I would be shopping there in general no matter what. But what really has made a difference from a customer experience has been the consistently top-tier help, customer service, and welcoming attitude of the manager Thomas at this location.
There is actually another HF location closer to my home and work, but I will gladly go out of my way to this store knowing that if Thomas is on the clock that day, he will always notice me, greet me, and immediately help me out with any question or concern I have.
Thomas has been quick to step in to help me clarify deals, remind me of current coupons or sales, and is always fully knowledgeable about anything and everything HF policy - sometimes helping clarify with new cashiers some sort of stacking deal that there may be some confusion on.
Absolute 100/10 management and service from Thomas, I fully hope this review is something that can be noted by corporate or higher management.
Atop Thomas and his performance, I definitely want to shout out several other managers and cashiers that I've run across at this location but have unfortunately not remembered their names. Almost all have been super helpful and nice. I genuinely feel welcome and at home at HF, and sometimes find myself there even when I've got nothing I currently need. Read moreI used to shop at this location at least once or twice a week. This was before the pandemic. This store has always been stocked up and there was never a time they didn't have what I was looking for. A few of the employees went above and beyond. One of my visits involved me Purchasing an appliance dolly. There were none on the floor, so I asked an employee. They checked in the back and nothing. Oh well.... As I was on my way out. The same gentleman started yelling for me, "I found one, I found one!" Talk about making my day! My only issue was a few of the employees. At times a select few were rude and or they were to busy carrying a conversation with another employee at checkout to acknowledge you. Like I said, well over a year ago. I visited this store a few weeks ago and I must say. The black woman at checkout was very pleasant Young lady. She was very bubbly and upbeat along with a high level of courtesy. The way she handled herself was as if she was the owner taking care of her store. If one was in a bad mood, they wouldn't be after leaving her line. In my opinion, this is the way it's done! I hope all future visits have the same outcome. I don't see a name on the receipt, the the date and time was 7/17/21 at 2:07 pm. Thanks again! By the way, please bring back the 20% off and the free coupons. I for one have not gone as much since Harbor Freight stopped handing those out. Read moreHarbor freight sells decent tools. But when you want to return a something that came broken, their managers shouldn’t also be tools. Ryan, the manager at this location needs to be demoted back to stockboy or something without customer interaction.
My fiancé and I went and bought some supplies from this particularly shady location for his car and purchased a car jack that was broken and some other tools that didn’t fit our needs. It happens. My fiancé tried to return these items to the store, but he lost his receipt. Even with the credit card he purchased it on- they couldn’t take the item back. Ryan’s “can’t help you” attitude was unnecessary, but as far as a no return without receipt policy, that’s understandable! So my fiancé called the corporate office and they emailed him a digital copy of his receipt.
When he went back to the store with the digital copy of the receipt, Ryan told him that it could be fake and that he needed corporate to email it to him directly. But he wouldn’t give my fiancé his email! How does that work?
Well my fiancé called corporate back, and had them send it to him using his name and store number. Corporate said “wow, this guy really just doesn’t want to help you, does he?”
