Listen I shop at the Yasmin market Ahmed works there and told me about the place because I'm always purchasing fresh lamb to cook. So he wanted me to try the Lamb Haneeth here at the Yemeni restaurant. I order my lamb haneeth Friday 8.19.19 I was tired hungry and ready for a great meal. OMG OMG got home pured me a glass of wine and devoured the food. The food was ready and hot in less that 6 minutes tops. The young lady at the register was the sweetest I forget her name. Hershey (nick name) was very courteous and sweet I felt like an honored guess. But the food the food was perfectly cooked. The lamb tender and it melted in your mouth. The rice basimity I'm sure I spelled it wrong is yimmy and light all the spice and sauce that came with it was just perfect. I WISHED I ordered 2 Lamb Haneeth for myself. On 8.10.19 I had to bring my sister back and we had the bread with shredded lamb and omg omg omg we dinned in this time ans was treated like sweet royalty a Queen if you will. You didn't have to wait. I know it is Ramadan season and very busy at night and they accommodate the hours to be able to sit down with family and enjoy an amazing environment, great service, great staff and genuine care when you dine in. I may never have to cook lamb again and i eat lamb way more than not. I will be a frequent customer and close friend of this establishment because they make me feel like family. Read moreMy wife and I had dinner in Columbus, Ohio in the Yemeni Restaurant a few days ago. As we entered, a very friendly gentleman, an associate of the restaurant, greeted us and seated us. (We wanted to know his name at the end of the dinner. His name is Muneer.) -- ABOUT THE FOOD: We were served very quickly, almost immediately. We got lamb soup and a spicy sauce. Then, we were assisted by Muneer what to order. For appetizer, we asked for Shak-Shookah. It is a pleasantly flavored dish, basically scrambled eggs with vegetables. We ordered Arabic bread, called Kubz Arabi, as well. It is similar to the Indian naan bread. The two main courses we ordered were Chicken Haneeth and Chicken Agda. Both of them were fantastic dishes. For both dishes, the chicken was cooked for hours, so it was absolutely tender. The rice served with the dishes has beautiful and very appetizing colors, shades of yellow and orange. After the main courses, Muneer wanted us to taste the Yemeni tea. It was sweet tea. We liked it. The entire meal was rated by both of us at a level of 5 stars. -- ABOUT THE RESTAURANT: The restaurant is clean, with modern furnishings. The chairs were comfortable. The restrooms were clean. Parking was easy. Our rating is 5 stars. -- ABOUT THE SERVICE: Muneer was our host, waiter and advisor. He is a very professional, knowledgeable and polite person. His service was better than first class. Our thanks to him for making the dinner a very pleasant experience. His rating is 5 stars -- at a school, he would get a...
Read moreDelicious x's 3!!! Everything about this restaurant made me feel like a KING!!! Sometimes you go to a restaurant and you don't feel like there's passion in any aspect of the establishment you are in. Polar opposite when I entered into the YEMENI Restaurant. Everything about this establishment exuded passion and dedication to upholding their culture and bringing it to you authentically. I must say I felt like I was in Yemen when I was in here. So they brought out several dishes for me, the first one was the soup and the spicy salsa. The other one was the bread and hummus and lamb. The other dish was the roasted lamb with honey, potatoes, and long grain rice. The flavor on the roasted lamb and honey and rice was so exotic and taste bud satisfying that I had to record it and let y'all see my reaction. I'm not sure if the pictures or the video or even my words and my emotions that I experienced during this visit will be enough Justice for a review for this restaurant. So I hope that you'll take my word for it and just visit this restaurant yourself and experience the same thing I experienced in your own way. Make sure when you do go there you try to roasted Lamb. The flavor was absolutely crazy...
