Drove 45 minutes to this store on 2/10/18 during 11% rebate time to get some help on siding. We had already looked at everything online, just had some additional questions and wasn't sure exactly what to purchase since we are doing multiple product styles on our home. When it was our turn, the employee seemed irritated with us, like she didn't want to help & kept looking around & walking away. After feeling like we were getting nowhere, I decided to hold off a bit longer on the siding purchase, take a card & email a manager for help & wait until the next 11% to purchase our siding. I understood they were busy so thought this may be a better route & then I could order everything online & not have to "bother" them again. I emailed the manager of the store & was told to provide additional info, which I then did, but I never heard back, so I emailed again. This time I got a response & was told to come back in & someone would help us. We waited until the 11% week, drove another 45 minutes back in as we were told the manager would be there to help us & yet again we received the same exact result as last time. While trying to talk to her, she again kept looking around & giving short, "I'm annoyed with you, figure it out yourself" type of unhelpful answers to questions and then she said "we are swamped with people here trying to get the 11% rebate" in an irritated tone as if we were wasting her time. Correct, we are those same people, who in fact have been trying to get help for 3 weeks now! We are now on a deadline & it has to be ordered & we are preparing to spend thousands upon thousands at your particular store as we are building a home! After we gave up & walked away, I overheard her complaining, to what appeared to be her family, about us! So, once again we have missed the 11% rebate & we cannot wait for the next one. We were planning to order all siding, stone, flooring, cabinetry, garage doors, etc. from Menards, but we have decided that we will take our business to someone who wants to earn it. Save yourself the headache & the feeling of belittlement, at least if you are dealing with the siding area. These people do not care in the least to help...
Read moreI am being a loyal customer of Menards for the last 5+ yrs. While writing this I am really upset with the way I was treated & spoken rudely by executives from Columbus, Menards store. I came over to the Columbus store on 21st June 2023 to pick my order - which was a sectional couch. Since the sofa was huge I availed Menards truck rental service. When I got the sofa down at my home, I found it was already damaged from the bottom. That created a lot of trouble for me to drive twice from my home to return the item & it ate up almost half of my working time as well as a lot of energy. I rather had to take a half a day leave from my office work. In all this process I had to run between pickup desks to customer service multiple times. Every time there was no one available at the service desk. Someone came, I showed my concern on rental service charges which I had to pay twice due to damaged items by Menards. The customer care executive promised me to adjust it once I bring back the damaged item. But denied when I came back. Rather than listening to me, was talking very rudely. I really feel cheated and sad after this incident. I never imagined this kind of treatment from Menards with their old loyal customers. First of all Menards gave me a damaged item after waiting for 8 days, then again I had to wait for another 8 for replacement. I had to drive it twice, now again for replacement one has to do it again and spend money twice for a rental truck. Why should I suffer if it's not my fault? And on top of that very rude behavior which is...
Read moreSaturday 6/11/22 at 10-11 am. Spent over 200$ on lumber. Had issues finding what I had paid for and had to ask employees working the yard for help. Pulled up to three employees in the covered area and asked if I could get some help. Very rudely I was asked . What do you want, from someone sitting on a fork truck. After being educated on how big the yard was and that I just over looked it and getting into a verbal argument with an employee. That was telling me I was rude in the way I asked for help??? I drove off and looked again for the part number assigned to the lumber I just purchased. One of the employees started yelling at me across the yard and waving for me to come back. I drove back to the covered area just to be told that it was about 20 feet from the three employees in the covered area. Parked the truck climbed the steps then being yelled directions on the location of the lumber by two employees and the third smiling at the show. Never again Menards. I can understand being short handed. I get it!!! But to be talked to the way we got talked to was pathetic. Management needs to step up or is that the issue?? Monday 6/13/22 needed a pressure washer went to Walmart. This coming Saturday we need more lumber...
