I wanted to get my husband a luxury facial that was deep cleansing with extractions. I booked one of their most expensive facials (hydrafacial) and was informed that the service would be complete and thorough and would be about 45-50 mins. The facial was $200. Let's start with the first issue, the facial lasted 30 mins - we know this because of the timestamp on the credit card and the fact that he was able to return home before 45 mins from his appt time, and we live about 10 mins away. Second, the esthetician did not use steam to open up the pores, did not perform any extractions, and did not do any type of deep cleansing. My husband asked repeatedly, will you be doing extractions, will you use steam, will you focus on my problem areas, like my forehead? The esthetician dismissed his concerns, and said "no we don't use steam here." He said they just put stuff on his face and then wiped it off. Third, after the service was complete, he felt pressured to leave a tip for a service that was TERRIBLE. Fourth, when he got back, I called the Open sky and spoke to the receptionist, I explained what the issue was, that this was supposed to be a very thorough facial, with extractions, and should have lasted at least 45 mins. The receptionist was understanding and asked how we would like this to be resolved. I said a partial refund would be acceptable. She said she would call us back and let us know what they could do. We don't hear from them at all, but see on the credit card statement that $32.40 was refunded. I have gone to many spas and received many luxury facials. For a facial to be $200 it better be a great service. For the level of service provided and given, you can get a BETTER service at Oasis face bar for $50 and they use steam. If you want a luxury facial go to Woodhouse or Panacea. It's the same price and definitely a much more thorough and nicer service. Lastly, when he came home we looked at his skin, none of his whiteheads or blackheads were removed, his pores were still clogged, and his skin still...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had booked a couples massage a month in advance. With valentines day being that weekend I wanted to make sure my partner and I would be able to get a time that would work well for us. Along with my couples massage I also booked a 45 minute facial for myself. The receptionist was very nice and even offered to put us in a room he would be able to stay in with me while I got my facial after our 1hr massage..I told her it was a surprise and I had called his work to get the day off for him without him knowing. His email was on file but I gave her mine and told her not to send him anything because again, this was a surprise. Two days later he had called me with the news he got an email from 'open sky day spa' regarding our couples massage. So surprise spoiled but, I just decided it was not a big deal because it's something we could look forward to together now. After a month of waiting we finally got there as soon as it opened. We were rushed to pay ahead of time and told a few times "we are just really busy because of valentines day we are booked back to back all day" Our massage was GREAT! The ladies were professional and very nice and the only reason I am giving this two stars. After, I informed them I was supposed to have a facial. They seemed very surprised and had to "check with the front" so I then was sent up front and told they had no record of my facial and are completely booked and there's no way they can fit me in. She just kept repeating herself and it felt really rushed as there was now people in line behind me. In the end I was given 50% off my next facial. I will probably never return as I do not have the luxury of taking the time to treat myself whenever I'd like. Hence why this was booked a month in advance with such elaborate planning involved. I'm extremely unhappy with my experience and it did put a damper on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEditing my review to reflect the new location: It is clear that they attempted to elevate an empty office space, the rooms are clean and comfy. However, I have two large gripes with the new place. The overhead lighting is garbage and not spa-like at all, and there are no lamps in the room to allow for soft lighting. Post massage there was not an option for getting dressed and re-acclimated to "normal light" - would LOVE to see soft lamps in the rooms. Two, sharing a bathroom with the entire building is horrible and takes away any feeling of being at a "spa". It's outdated, tired, felt dirty due to age. The bathroom is TINY and it is awkward as hell to leave a room with a dewy face post facial and walk into a shared space with someone who just came from a Drs appt. Additionally, the bathroom stalls are not plus size friendly at all and it was such an awkward experience.... If you are of any significant size, go to the bathroom before you come. Photos uploaded, including the sign telling you to flush is a delight. If it were not for Madison and Sue or I would likely go elsewhere.
Previous review: Love everything about this place! Fair pricing, clean, and easy to schedule. Sue does my brows and Madison does my massage and both are top notch....
