If you want to experience nostalgia, treat the kids to a stress free movie experience, or see a couple of movies for half the price of a theater, this would be the place. Price $12 per adult. There are 2 screens so the choice is convenient. If you are going on the weekend, I would suggest going around 45 minutes prior to the start of the movie. The line to get in can get backed up pretty far. You can pay through the website or at the gate (cash or card). You can listen with speakers or through your radio tuned to the appropriate station. We tried to go to the concession, but the line was pretty long and didn't have time before the movie started. There are bathrooms available, they are dated and look dinghy but work if you have to go. You could always bring a cooler with your own snacks or food. Or stop at fast food on the way there. A great part of the experience. There were a lot of suv's (which you could see around). A few of the larger trucks seemed a little tall to see around. Some people were using lawn chairs and sat on the ground, and some had the chairs in the flatbed of the truck. Getting in and out is pretty easy, sign tell you which to.enter and exit.. We had a great time. Something nostalgic at a reasonable price. It was fun and would probably do it again.

"Would you like to donate a dollar to help the South Drive-in?" Sure, one time only. .. .And here is why. Potholes. These are easily and cheaply filled. Even the city is quicker to respond to potholes on their streets. Not all of your speakers work. Pick broadcasting or speaker. Do not pretend to do both. $5.00 for two pieces of "pepperoni pizza" that were ambient temperature. I have microwaved better generic pizzas. Acidic cracker taste is not pizza. Your microwaved generic soft pretzel is better purchased at a grocery or not at all. If it is already $9.50 for a ticket, panhandling for an extra $1.00 and charging $5.00 for acid crackers, then maybe you are not too big to fail. The only reason there are two stars is because of nostalgia watching in the drive-in: Star Wars, Bambi, E.T., Never Cry Wolf and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Quali...er..,apathy is apparently #1. I will try Lancaster's drive-in for the first time this summer and get back with folks.

Edit: The response from this business is rather appalling and unnecessarily defensive. I didn't ask for a refund or coupon, a ticket -- anything. I gave feedback on my experience, which happened to not be a good one. All you had to really do was awknowledge it, apologize, and if you had offered to discuss it further via email, I'd have even adjusted the review for the time taken to make my voice heard as a customer. I don't believe that every customer is right, but I do believe that there is a better way to handle criticism than what you responded with. ‐--------- I went here a few years back and loved it, but this time I had a very unpleasant experience that I'm hoping is not the norm.

It's harder to see now that the sun is setting sooner, so more signage to get to the 2nd side of the theater would be helpful. In the dark, it was confusing. This is a more nitpicky thing but worth suggesting.

The concessions were terrible. No sanitizer, yet telling everyone to sanitize. There were only 3 specialty buckets of popcorn in the popcorn case, with the tag in front being "XL". Everything else was gone. Someone did put some more small sizes in the case after I had stood on line for a while, but had their fingers in each cup as they put them in. This is not necessary. Please do not put your fingers in the cups because with how busy it was, I'm sure nobody was washing their hands between tasks.

There were no hotdogs, burgers, or other specialty foods out. (There is a paper hung up above the condiments advertising a list of foods and if its not out, they'll make it upon request). There were a few pretzels and nacho sets, but everything seemed quite barren aside from some candy up front. The line took awhile because there was a backup of people waiting on food. Someone asked about getting some food made and I heard someone say they were out and there wasn't anymore. Then I heard that there would be a 15 minute wait.

I ended up waiting quite a while in line just to buy some popcorn. I saw that the XL had a free refill, so I asked the cashier about it and he said not for the buckets. But the buckets were the only thing out with the XL sticker...? I just said okay and went back to the movie that I missed a big part of because of the wait.

Also want to add that the speaker was broken and sounded like a robot was trying to speak through it. The screen was also incredibly dim. We tried to see Alien and missed most of the details of the movie because of how dark the screen was.

Drive-Ins are a nostalgic gem for a lot of people and something that everyone wants to keep around. But you can't expect people to buy snacks and support the business if you aren't going to supply the snacks and provide a...

My first and last expirence here ever! My fiancé and I took our nephews and lil sister here to see finding dory. When we finally got to check in the lady asked us who was in the car. My fiancé told her 2 adult and 3 children. The kids in the car were 7,9,and 11 so it was only $3 for them all (I have a little Honda Civic hybrid with no tinted windows and the sun was still out when we checked in my car is so small the only way they could hide is if I put them in the trunk!!!) She told us about $19 something so paid and proceeded with the line. I would also like to mention after my fiancé answered the question she looked in my car TWICE! So we paid and found a parking spot about 10-15 mins later a officer (who was the nicest and most professional one there) came to my car and asked to see my receipt so we showed him. He said we weren't charged for the kids and need to pay double! I didn't mind that until I got to the front to lady who checked us in. I was telling her what my fiancé said and that their was no reason to lie over $3 ! I hate to say it but I think a lot of it had to deal with the fact I am African American. The cashiers (which in the mist of the conversation a second cashier approached and said I either pay double for everyone or leave and I will not get a refund OH SO RUDELY) and the manager was SUPER RUDE! but me and my fiancé chose to stay calm for the kids. I think they need to do drug testing cause that cashier is very questionable! Me and my fiancé work hard for our money and have a decent amount and their is no reason to lie over $3 dollars. I will never return to this place again because not only did they double charge for my kids but also tried to charge us again for our two adult tickets! Literally THE WOESE customer service I have ever expirence and I do hair and teach prek for 5years now so I interacted with a lot of clients and parents. I am a very calm person, but I never wanted to punch someone's face in as bad as I did last night! If I could give this place negitative stars I would! T...

They over charged by so much it’s crazy they claim it’s only $12 for adults and $6 for children but when I went there, we had three adults and two children I asked him to split the transaction between my cash and my card. I gave him $17 in cash and then paid 55 on my card for a total amount of 72. I’m pretty sure he just pocketed my cash because the total really shouldn’t of came out then more than $45 then when I said something about this clearly not being right They threaten to kick me out without my car without getting a refund without Even watching the movie They’re very unprofessional not only that barely Any of the speakers work there and there’s To screen, so it is very hard to get a good spot wouldn’t go there at all and spend your money. It’s a waste of time when you could go to a better movie theater and pay less.

Edit to original post I dealt with the same dude the whole time he took my cash and then charged my card the full amount and let us drive off and said nothing. Then once I came back up, realizing they charged me too much said something he tried to tell me no and that we really owed that much and I told him that he was pocketing my money and that’s not right then he got mad that I said that and threatened to kick me out and get me escorted out, when I wasn’t near my car at all making me have to leave my car there and at that point, I just left and went back to my car wasn’t going to argue with the dude at no time did he mention anything about giving me my money back or refunding me on my card. This is the first time I’m hearing about a refund so I hope with your response you stay true with giving me my money that you pocketed. You overcharged me you were in the wrong and you got mad when I called you out. That was the true story here. When I came up to you , you could’ve simply just gave me my cash back because you had already overcharged my card but no, you guys didn’t wanna do that. You guys wanted to try to kick me out and...
