Been here 3 times. My opinion is mixed.
PROS: Nice selection and variety of wigs in particular. It's a smaller store than most others in the surrounding area, but surprisingly, they've got a whole lot of stuff in there!!! lol -They are very well stocked in popular in-demand products/hair extensions/wigs. -The Chinese managers are very nice. Sorry to say, but it feels refreshing to walk into their store & see that they're not staring you down & following you everywhere as if they've already assumed you're the world's greatest thief. They actually speak, smile & carry conversations with their customers. -The pricing is fair. Not the cheapest in town, but definitely the fairest when you consider that I've found the exact same brand. style & color of hair or wig at other stores that charged me 2-3 times what I would've paid for it at this store. So this store, def. doesn't purposely jack up the prices like their competition does. -The girls are honest with you about how a style looks on you. Those young girls don't care about profit for their bosses. They're there to tell you what to get for the low that will actually look good on you vs. trying to finagle you into buying something expensive even if it looks ugly or unnatural on you. -They are fully staffed. You won't have to wait too long when the lines build up with customers b/c they are quick to jump on 3 registers if it means the customers not having to wait for too long.
CONS: -The store is very cluttered. It's almost hard for 2 people to walk in the same aisle at once b/c there's products everywhere. The actual store space itself is too small. They need a slightly bigger building.
-Not very many sales or promotions. They don't give customers any new incentive to come into the store & shop with them as opposed to just going to other stores. The only 'sale' they have consists of 3 small shelves of wigs that are all 40% off, but you have to buy them "as is" (color, style, brand, condition, etc.), which isn't really a deal b/c they're all jacked up & 99% of their customers aren't coming to their store to buy used items lol They'd get a lot more business if they had typical 'Buy 1, get one free or half off" sales like other hair stores.
-1 of their main employees (the one with the gap) is very unprofessional. She's nice, but she was heard talking down to 1 of the other employees & also saying she hated her managers. Most of us hate our bosses in life lol but I don't find it amusing or cool to go into a place where the employees can be heard cussing & bad mouthing other people, which may include customers themselves, if you really listen closely enough.
-A few times, their records showed that they had a product/wig/hair tracks but the product wasn't actually where it was supposed to be when it was time for them to locate it in the back stock room. There's also been times when they've kept hair brands/styles/or wigs that are discontinued out on the mannequins, which is misleading to the customer. If you no longer sell the product, get rid of the mannequins showcasing that hair! This happening with several products/brands/hair wigs/accessories more than once on different occasions tells me that the store isn't very organized.
Overall, not too bad of a store that I won't ever go back, but not so great that I'd be willing to go the extra distance...
Read moreThey have a good selection of stuff but they don't like to put prices of the packaged hair up. Once I got something that actually had a price sticker and when they rung it up it was a higher price in the computer and they wouldn't honor the cheaper sticker price. And that's why they said "things aren't supposed to have a price". So basically you have to ask them to price check it all. The store is ran down (of course, look at the area) and cluttered. The workers are nice(ish) (in a passive but weird way) but I have notice many times them starring and watching as if you're going to steal. Really makes me not want to spend money there as I am fully capable of paying for anything there. It's saddening because they too are women of color and we get treated like that at places where the Oriental work. (And yes, I know the owner is Oriental)
To add- this creepy worker was trying to joke with my child about taking her toy she had but instead she did nothing but scare my child. Then my toddler child ended up needing to use the bathroom. The one who's always on the register said "we don't like the public use them but for the kid we will" uhh you think? It's a child for Christ sakes. Then she calls the creepy lady up to take my child to the bathroom. Like I wasn't allowed to go. ABSOLUTELY NOT! so i indeed went with and the lady stood right outside the door listening like WTF? creepy as well. And very uncomfortable. And then watched us the whole walk out like we stole something even though I CLEARLY JUST PAID FOR MY STUFF RIGHT BEFORE WE WENT TO...
Read moreToday was actually my second time shopping here at this location. I was very irritated with the service in here today. I know now that this is the worst hair store to shop at in Columbus. I didn’t leave without letting the managers know that the service was horrible, not everyone who comes in this store is a thief? They all need to be trained and then retrained again on a regular basis! Let people shop in peace and have some respect and common courtesy. I don’t like being hovered over and followed around the store while I’m shopping. I’m a grown woman and I’m fully capable of picking out my own hair/wigs and products. This store doesn’t even...
