This was the worst experience I'd ever had at a foodlion.
Upon first walking in, it was absolutely dead. Like crickets dead. There were 2 cashiers at their registers, the office person, and what seemed to be what we will call the lottery guy. I stood at the customer service for a few minutes, without being addressed at all. Mind you, the office person never said "be with you in a minute" or anything. She then walked around the customer service desk while still talking to the lottery guy, and never said a word to me. Just looked at me and raised her eyebrows. I told her I needed to recieve western union. And still never said anything to me. Not even "ok". Then, she went back around to the safe, where it was obvious she had misplaced her keys. I still haven't been spoken to at this point which was appalling. Then, out of nowhere, another employee from a different department comes up and asks me what I need. I tell her Western Union, and she says its down. At this point I'm furious. I've been standing here the whole time, was NEVER addressed by their main Frontline customer service employee with even a word. And now because they've lost a set of keys and need to find them, they don't want to take the time to assist me when I'm the customer at hand. I ask "why didn't SHE tell me that?" And they all look at me like I'm crazy. Mind you I've been standing here 6 to 7 minutes at this point. With no assistance and now I'm being turned away.
The office person says "well I didn't know". So the employee from the other department checks and says its down. Which I don't believe it was, I just think they needed to find their keys and that's all they were focused on.
Instead of being rude; or going back and forth I start to walk away. I'm fed up at this point. Clearly no one here wanted to help me. And FINALLY THE OFFICE PERSON SPEAKS TO ME FOR THE FIRST TIME AND SAYS "HAVE A NICE DAY". RUDELY AS COULD BE.
So you mean to tell me you didn't greet me at the front. You didn't address any of my needs. Yet when I start to walk away because of the poor customer service you decide to speak? Absolute worst customer service I've ever received at a foodlion and I won't be...
Read moreThis just happened to me! I'm at self checkout getting ready to pay and the card machine isn't accepting my mobile payment. I change registers. As soon as I'm checking out my things a short middle aged employee is telling me I have to pay for my things. I go ahead and explain to him that the previous register wasn't working for me. And tell him the one I'm at is also not responding at all. He gets one of the customer service lady who is just busy socializing. She proceeded to tell me that it's my phone that isn't working because she just used this machine and it works flawlessly. I tell her no it's the credit card machine because it should say "please insert card, tap to pay, etc." and instead it's says "please scan items". She was very condescending and rude. I told her then show me. I assumed she would cancel the transaction and scan and item and we would try again. No! She says " I ain't gonna pay for your things" as if I meant her to pay for my things. She's like there nothing I can do. I tell her well then how am I going to pay for my things. She finally suspends transaction and takes me at the customer service register. Which did work. I just really don't understand why she didn't do that in the beginning and why did she have to argue. Never in all my years of going to this location have I been talked to like this by...
Read moreThis location is perplexing in its contradictions and for the sake of brevity, I'll try to keep it contained. The store itself is readily visible from the road, has a well lit parking lot, & benefits from a safe location. It's also a very clean store, none of the grime or wear & tear you might see at older locations. The restrooms are actually well maintained as well, so if you have kids, that's a huge plus. The problems arise when you realize their selection of products can be fairly limited compared to a Walmart or a Harris Teeter. In addition, the produce section is woefully inadequate and seems...cramped into a corner. The staff are superficially polite but there's no actual warmth or conversation outside something you'd find in a Training Manual. It's like self checkout with a hologram, which is off-putting to say the least. So to keep it as honest as possible, it's an average location that's clean but limited in selection...
