This joint looked pretty authentic with their signage which can be seen from the street which lead me to drop by. I walked in and they had 2 or 3 customers waiting for their orders. The employee had a horrible attitude and was very unhelpful when I informed him it was my first time in. I had to figure out how their menu worked on my own. I ordered their combination lumpia of chicken and pork. They both sucked with lack of flavor and no difference in taste. I also ordered the pancit and adobo wings with garlic rice. It took so long to make my plate I went to 7-11 next door and came back and it still wasn't done. My order wasnt cheap or what I consider a good value as it cost almost $25 easy for one plate. If the food tasted better I may have given them 3 stars. Yea never again coming here nor recommending to anyone. This place is more than a novelty trying to cash in on the lumpia name but they are really lousey lumpias and beyond that they don't offer vegetable lumpias. Hardly authentic to any type of filipino restaurant. The young lady who handed my order wasn't very friendly at all. When I left, none of the staff said thank you for coming in or showed any type of appreciation. This type of attitude of non gratitude is a shameful representation of Filipino culture much less customer service. Go somewhere else for your lumpia or make your own; I guarantee you'll find better and your own home made will...
Read moreAbsolute waste of time and money. Here's a honest review.
I tried eating here a few times before this with the line always being incredibly long and never moving. Today (2/18/22) the line was fairly short. Even in that short line it took 30 or so mins to get to the door, 10 mins to the register from the door and another 15 waiting for food. Theres a cheeky sign that shows they are most aware of the wait time and instead of creating a way to circumvent this long wait time, they chose to be cute about it.
Here's just one idea you. Stop doing HUGE orders AT the register. Have people call them in or even placed online, that way the people in line who just want a plate or 2 are held up by what looks like a catering order.
Most important question, is the food good? No. Flavorless and Dry are the words that come to mind. So after you wait 45 mins minimum you get below average flavorless food. Dipping sauce is a must if you want anything that actually taste like something.
Pricing isn't terrible for how much food you get but paying anything for the less than mediocre food you get seems wrong.
I'd advise finding somewhere else. Just within a block radius you have so many things to choose from that move faster and actually...
Read moreI wanted to like this place. It’s right down the road, got great reviews, it’s new, and I LOVE lumpia. I mean what’s not to like about it? I don’t care for the sweet sauce your supposed to dunk it in, and be always just eaten in plain. I like savory over sweet.
Anyways we got the Pancit Bihon, and a 25 piece chicken and pork lumpia. The Pancit Bihon was great, full of flavor. I’d definitely come back for that. But the lumpia, I was so disappointed. It was absolutely tasteless. I mean I couldn’t tell the difference between the chicken and the pork, and I was having trouble picking up ANY flavor. The lumpia filling was so dry, it was very over cooked. Now I know lumpia isn’t like an egg/spring roll where it’s filled up a lot more, but there was very little filling in this lumpia. Meager, tasteless, dry lumpia. Very disappointed. I hope they work out the kinks because I’ll gladly change this review and return.
The price isn’t bad for what you get so...
