Save yourself the headache and DO NOT buy a pressure washer, from Harbor Freight in Pleasant Hill. My experience there this morning was an absolute disaster, and it's all thanks to the incredibly unhelpful employees, Wes and Kyle specifically and their utterly unprofessionalism.
I bought a defective gas power washer from them just five days ago. This morning I tried to return it, and what followed was 40 minutes of pure torture. They kept claiming the power washer had gas in it, which I dumped out three separate times right there in front of them! It was clear they just didn't want to deal with the return.
The manager, Wes, was the worst of all. Instead of helping, he was completely dismissive and unprofessional. It felt like he was actively trying to waste my time and deny my legitimate return. I was so fed up, I just left the defective power washer right there in their store.
Now calling corporate and my bank to sort this mess out because of Harbor Freight's terrible customer service. Do yourself a massive favor and go to Home Depot or Lowe's instead. Their customer service is light years ahead and you will save yourself time and a huge headache
Additionally Harbor Freight can we please train your managers to have a real sense of customer service, not like Wes who looks like he just came out of high school with the way he treats his customers and can clearly tell he has zero experience in the...
Read moreOK, most of us have been to Harbor Freight stores before. If you haven't, you can definitely check out other reviews online as far as that goes.
This review is specifically about this store. I find the people to be extremely helpful, very friendly, and in general, just cheery people. Hate to say it, but this is in contrast to other Harbor freight stores that I visited but I won't name in this review. But more importantly, it stands out as a very nice contrast to that orange big box hardware store. You know the one I mean. One time I went there, an employee put us in an unsafe situation with a forklift, then argued about it when I spoke to him about it... So then I had to seek out a manager to follow up with them. Ugh. So aggravating!
Back to glass half full: the last time I when to this HF store, I had a really big order, and a pretty full cart. The store wasn't that busy, and people were helpful. However, it actually shocked me when after the sale, the cashier took a minute to go open the door so I could get my cart out. Having somebody hold the door for you... It is such a small gesture but at the same time, it means a LOT. Kudos to the staff and the store. Thanks so much! Keep up...
Read moreThis is where you go to buy any tool you can imagine for a very affordable price. They have power tools, hand tools, machine shop equipment, and various tools for your typical DIY'er or the professional.
Some people express concern that their power tools, made by Chicago Electric, are poor quality, but I have yet to experience any issues with them.
Make sure you join their email list because they will send you amazing discount coupons regularly. For example, I have been eyeing a 15 gallon air compressor that usually costs $230. I received an email for a 3 day sale where I could buy it for $130! They always have amazing blow out sales so be sure to get on the list.
They have a great 90 day return policy with receipt which is great. Also, they offer a lifetime warranty on all of their power tools.
The store is organized and clean. Lines can get long on Sale days, but they have enough cashiers to move customers along quick enough. Most of the cashiers that I've seen are happy, are sure to greet you and ask if I was able to find everything I needed.
This will always be my first stop to buy tools prior to Home...
