I was in the Pleasant Hill store on Sunday, I was greeted by an associate in front of the store. He was very welcoming to me, and ask me if I needed any help. I told him not at this moment, he proceeded and said “ go ahead and walk around, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. While walking around the store, I saw some pendants that caught my eyes. I went up to the associate in the red shirt and ask him for help. The associate gladly follow me back to where I saw the pendant’s that I like. I told him that I was remodeling my place, and I needed some opinions on which pendant’s will work for my remodeling. I explained to Norin what my views with the pendants were. I love that he listened to all the details. I also love that he ask me questions about my remodeling views. Norin spend with me 35 mins at lease. Finally I made my decision. I was ready to order and purchase my pendant’s. While talking to Norin, another associate came by, he stood near us listening to our conversation, I thought that was weird, the sale associate told Norin that he will take over me. I didn’t like that at all. That means that I had to repeat everything that I spend 35 mins explaining. I ask Norin if he can you do my orders, before Norin could answer, the other associate said I’ll do the order for you. So I told the associate that I changed on my order, and that I have to do some thinking. Honestly, I wish Norin could done the orders. He was wonderful. I will definitely come back, as long I can do my business with Norin. He has some great decorating ideas...
Read moreI've been in the Pleasant Hill store twice and won't be going back. The first time I was looking for a replacement bulb for a fixture I owned. The salesman told me what I was looking for didn't exist. He was so snotty about it that my friend and I turned around and left. I went to another store and bought the bulb. Today I went in and, unfortunately, got the same guy. I needed a replacement glass globe for a chandelier. I found the light and showed it to the salesman. He told me the globe was 2 pieces- it's not. It's a clear outer bulb with a frosted smaller bulb inside- threaded to screw on over the halogen light bulb. I had just taken apart the light fixture myself. I told him it's one piece, threaded. He says, "I've put this light together 10 times, it's 2 pieces." Ugh. He then goes on to ask how I know the fixture was bought at Lamps Plus and how I know it's the same fixture? Really?! Is this know-it-all always like this? Both times I'm told I don't know what I'm talking about and he then tries to "one up me" with a bull$%!t statement. How about we go to the computer and look, rather than lecturing me? He's obnoxious, condescending, smug, moronic AND wrong. He is costing you business, Lamps...
Read moreI love Lamps Plus in Pleasant Hill. Jacqueline was very knowledgeable and helpful with my purchase. However, when you order lamps or lighting through the specialist at the store fir home delivery their computer automatically adds on light bulbs for purchase and the specialist don't ask or tell you if you want them. I guess they assume you know this. At the expensive price they charge for the bulbs they really need to ask you or at least tell you so you have the option to say yay or nay. Lamps Plus need to correct that or let customers know when you are purchasing your lamps/lights.
Thanks for your response. I was told by Jaqueline, your Light Specialist when I called and asked about the light bulbs being added to my order, that the COMPUTER AUTOMATICALLY ADDED THE LIGHT BULBS. My light did not come with light bulbs. I guess that was a convenient response for her to give me. I choose to keep the light bulbs and am aware that I can return them, but my whole point is it's just to be able to have a choice with purchasing an item. Next time I will make sure this doesn't happen if I choose to shop at Lamps Plus in the future. Again thanks for clarifying this and revealing that I was...
