This place is the best the 1st day I went in. It was on a Sunday there were about to close. I called and told him. Hey, I wanted to come check out the place. And the gentleman that was working that day around the weekends was kind enough to stay a little later for me...... He then told me that you know they do eighty percent credit for Pokemon card trade-ins. Which blew me out of the water? Because that's amazing, you know what I mean. They're kinda in it till you. And I are just not be greedy. And you know, they're just great people. And the gentleman tells me that it's. Sadly, he's not able to do the traitants and tell. His boss is in during a week. So I go back later the week. And sadly, I kinda come in like, a little later. Because I'm usually not free until later. The night or after 5 or 6. Either from work or other things. And the owner of the shop was kind enough to tell me that his daughter was there and she was gonna know what I had help me out pretty much. You know, do the credit for me? And she was very sweet. And I think the mother was in there as well. And the whole family very nice. And you know, I stayed in there for a good hour so and. I Dang near God of I don't know what time the money in getting a booster box. Which if I were to trade in any of the cards at any other shop in that area? I would have gotten 50% for cash andmaybe 60%. For credit...heck some places do 50% for cash and credit.. So I highly suggest you go to the shop. Because they're great family. The sweet people and I plan to take my nephew there. And I honestly plan to just go to the shop all the time. Because this is a shout to go to, so believe me. It's a great shop so it's brandon brickey...
Read moreTL;DR: Scalpers in new boxes and in ungraded singles.
Went here on a whim while visiting family and left extremely upset. Not only are these people just scalpers, straight up. Brand new packs are well above MSRP. The singles are absurdly priced. The binder cards have reasonable margins but the singles in the case are absurdly above market. I saw an Acerola LP in the case which as of today was going for $33 on price charting. When I asked what they wanted they responded with $55. I asked if they would go down and they said they are usually very close to market to which I brought up the price charting number and they said they dont use PC for their ungraded singles. TCG had it for $52 and they were unwilling to budge even a little. I had a stack of singles from the binder I returned to the binder due to this and I highly advise everyone avoid this shop.
Price charting was also quite accurate as attatched is an ebay listing I found quickly of similar quality of the shop's.
In response to the store: That is so rich that apparently the cost of running a store costs a small upcharge of $20. Stores like this don't like price charting as it only shows the prices of cards that have been sold by everyday people on ebay. Ungraded is ungraded, I agree that ungraded has tiers like LP, MP, HP, and NM but saying that your ungraded LP Acerola is $20 above the actual market is so ridiculous that it convinces me that this store is not misguided but malicious in their pricing, once again a reminder that they did not deny the allegations of them scalping because they are. Thank you for responding and showing your...
Read moreMy brother went into the store and bought a booster box for 80 and he then asked how much the other one is , the employee replied 80 dollars, my brother comes and grabs me we head over they're the next day because the card shop is an hour away so we get there not only is it already 20 dollars extra then retail value he slaps another 20 bucks on it after checking the website so it is now 100 bucks when retail value is 59.99 through 69.99
before it was 80 ,He knew we traveled everywhere around the bay area for three days looking for this booster box for dragon ball world fusions and no one had that product then magically the product is now at a 100 yet yesterday it was 80 when my brother asked? all because a device said so when you told my brother from same said device it was 80? they have a big selection that's about it but they price gauge everything from 10-40 additional bucks I also had to wait 5 minutes while he was in a match (which is fine I understand but 2.5/5 customer services with those prices don't go hand to hand with a successful business and I am not the only one whos had these exact issues apparently.
as much as I love card shops places like this make me wish TCG succeeds so these places like this don't exist anymore I also went to Fairfield and spent 1,500 next day on both pokemon and Fusions world so his fault and lost of opportunity.
if this is the only card shop in concord I will pray for that city to make it through such harsh times until another one spawns
