I’ve been coming to this restaurant for about three years now. It was never anything extraordinary, but it was always consistent — good food, quick service, and fair prices compared to other places in the area.
Unfortunately, in the past month or so, something has changed. I’m not sure if there’s been a change in ownership or management, but prices have gone up drastically. I can understand that to some degree given rising costs everywhere — but what I can’t overlook is the noticeable drop in quality.
The menudo, which I’ve ordered regularly for years, was unrecognizable. The flavor just wasn’t there — it tasted like someone who had never made menudo before. The meat was chewy in parts, mushy in others, and some pieces didn’t even seem edible. My handmade tortillas arrived cold and soggy, almost as if they’d been reheated after sitting out for too long.
The service has also taken a nosedive. The woman at the counter had a terrible attitude, acting as if customers were an inconvenience. She practically tossed the food onto the table with no warmth or hospitality.
They may have renovated the interior and added some flair, but unfortunately, none of that makes up for the decline in food quality and service. Prices have gone up, while the experience has gone down — and that’s disappointing to see.
Sadly, after being a regular for years, I won’t be returning. There are just too many other great options around to...

Read moreVery clean operation- enough for it to be the first thing I want to point out. I hope it stays that way fingers crossed.
Paper menu is missing meat choices, but there's a hanging sign under the menu screens in the shop. I need to try the al pastor next.
Of the menu items I've had a chance to try so far, they're pretty decent. The chimichanga was massive (can comfortably feed two, or one if you have a big appetite). The tamales were okay (in my pickup order they were unwrapped and covered in sauce, nothing else noteworthy).
Camarones al mojo de ajo were flavorful, and while it's on the pricey end of the menu, you get what you pay for. The San Felipe fish taco was okay- the fish either stayed in the fryer too long or the oil needed changing. Chile verde taco was great, gotta remember to come back...
