I've driven to this WYB Concord location 4x and 3x out of that it was on a Friday morning right at opening. I spoke to an employee there, older woman with white hair who mostly works register, asking why they post pictures the same people with good finds on the WYBC pages cause i felt discouraged to find what i was looking for or find something "good". She looked at me like i was dumb and said "What do you mean these people ASK to get their photos taken" i laughed and said okay and just went on about my business looking through the bins only to notice her just chatting it up and laughing it up with one of their regulars that is posted damn near every week. Whatever i let it slide. I went last weekend at 715 i was there bright and early at the front door. When it was almost time to open, im assuming she was the manager, started giving out numbers from 1-6 to people who were behind "the white line" (the fire lane) i didnt KNOW i had to be out in the fire lane grouped up regulars to get a "number" that way you stand BEHIND the chalk written number on the sidewalk/entry way to THEN have the manager roll a DICE 5x so the 1-6 number lines would have an order in which they would go in based off what the dice falls on. I was the second person there that morning just to be the last person there to actually get into the store. By the time i got in people already had carts loaded. Safe to say i wasted my time there since the regular that came in before me found the item i was looking for. I asked nicely if she would be willing to let me buy it in the store since she was going to resell it and her partner came in the conversation and stated hed only sell me the coffee machine i wanted for $80 in the parking lot. Like, huh? Anyway, this week they held their "giveaway on facebook where if you post a find in the comment section youre entired on a "random drawing" to win early entry on $14 or $.50day. I DID NOT comment to be entered for the giveaway because i wanted to see how the drawing works for future reference since i had NO IDEA about the whole fire lane, thrown dice, number nonsense (which nowhere on their pages it explains how it works or that they do this, not even their Facebook LIVES) Anyway they posted the winner yesterday and the winner was nonother than the same woman who has her own business with these products and is photographed every single week. Like does she work for these people? Im confused. I just dont understand how its fair to other people who entered the drawing when the regulars already have essentially early entry every week. I made a comment on the winning post "Not yall playing favorites" and that ruffled feathers among this regular woman and what a coincidence that WYBC's employee older woman with the white hair, directly commented onto the post calling me a "hater" because i didnt win? I clocked lil mama quick "Bestie dont you work there?" Like idk but it just looks weird, it looks sus and that got the page admin to BLOCK ME from the whole WYBC Facebook page. So what exactly was the reason they blocked me unless what i was saying was either true or it made someone feel some type of way. Maybe explain how this location does things? Explain how $14 ENTRY works. Have an item/cart limit to all customers in order to give NONREGULARS an opportunity to get something good. Having variety of people with good finds would bring more business and wont make people feel discouraged and won't make the business look so BIAS. An opportunity to improve cause of feedback would have been a more professional response but instead i was blocked for something so silly. You might want to visit another location if you want to find a gift for a loved one or you can pay 3x more of the item to a regular in their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love going to bin stores. Itās always fun to find a bargain. When this place opened, it had awesome deals and amazing steals! Obviously, that did not last long. It was probably just for the first little bit so they could justify $14 on the first restock day. There are several reasons for this one star review.
The people who work there are incredibly rude. I will allow that the two ladies working today were not as rude as the previous workers I have encountered, but that is not difficult. It seems as if most workers there are on a power trip and very condescending to the customers.
Even if you are the first person there, you might not get in to the store if it reaches capacity. To get in, people must line up in six rows, then they roll a die, and thatās the order you go in. When we went on Black Friday, several people pointed out that they had been there since 4 am. The manager responded extremely sassily that he was in bed at 4 am and that was their problem. Now, the first time I experienced the entrance, it was exciting and we were the third row to enter. Black Friday, I didnāt even make it in.
Today, there was only one person working check out and one person working the box opening station. Today, We waited 20 minutes at the box opening station before opening the items I wanted myself and then putting the pump we want to test out back in the bins. (There have been times when weāve waited 45 minutes to open items.) Then, we waited 10 minutes in check out. Apparently, two workers didnāt show up today.
You may wait a while to test out your items. See above. But also, many places have a 5 item limit at the testing station. Not so here. One person opened at least 20 items and took at least 20 minutes (probably more, but we gave up waiting). In fact, the majority of this review was written while waiting in line.
The quality of items has greatly decreased. Maybe this is a good place to go on $2 day, but mostly itās junk. Off brand Amazon returns. Some of the stuff definitely used.
In short, I have not been impressed with this place since my first visit. Iād much rather go to the smaller stores just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I frequent this store or we have in the past couple of months going 2-4 times a month. It used to be really nice things (amazon, target returns or overstock things - wide variety) but today we went for the $7 Saturday. Not only is there an ABUNDANCE of cheaply made clothing & customized blankets, but a lot of the items looked like temu returns, there were some things that looked like name brand but were fake (we even found fake colgate toothbrushes lol, there are a lot of jerseys that arenāt real as well, theyāre pretty good fakes but still fake. There was an instance today that was out of the ordinary of what weāve experienced in the past, a shopper was looking at an item, it was in a box that had already been opened, he looked at the item as he had easy access to do so and a worker announced āsir we donāt open boxes, you canāt open that to look at it. Iām gonna have to ask you to leaveā he asked why since he didnāt open it & she stated he wasnāt allowed to open any boxes and went on to say more. He stayed calm and let her know that we was unaware, it was his first time there. I overheard this and thought āasking him to leave after one instance is a little overkillā she then goes to the front and made an announcement on the intercom basically saying the same thing she said to the shopper & added āif you see an item where the box is already open, we encourage you to just walk awayā š okay.. she didnāt mention at all that there is a counter in the back to open the items (which I didnāt know was a thing until my second time shopping here). Even after all of this, we were still able to find acouple of things for gifts/ourselves, I would still recommend it if you have time to look through all...
