I have heard a buzz about this place for a while, and a vintage + coffee lover myself, I was excited to go. I loved the atmosphere and what theyāre doing! Itās a great spot, great pieces.
That being said I want to give a real honest review, while still advocating that I love this concept and what they have going!
I sell vintage myself, have been for 2 years now, and am used to putting a value on something from comps but also understand adding a bit of value to it based on what you feel itās worth, what you have into it, rarity, etc. Comps are pretty unreliable at times so, understandable. Their pricing just confused me. I have 300+ pieces in my personal collection ranging from grails to mid stuff and there were things that I was expecting to be at $120, like a vintage Nike hoodie I ended up purchasing, that was at $60. Happy with that! but then tees that I knowingly own and frequently sell myself at $30-40 were, at a minimum, $65. Itās a great spot and there are definitely good prices if you look hard enough, but overall I think thereās some inconsistency that was a little frustrating. Iām assuming they buy high and sell higher, which for the items theyāve got it makes sense for quality, I mean, they have whole sections of hornets and panthers gear⦠but I think the spot would really hit the mark having some more affordable options. It was hard to find anything under $40, even shorts/jeans, unless you shop their $20 racks. I think it just makes it difficult for people interested in getting into vintage to afford it. There are competitors that Iāve shopped with frequently whose pricing hits more on the nose for me. I will also add that I wish they had more 40+ waist sizing options, as I could only find a few for myself.
When I visited, I had just wrapped up a popup and had some extra money to āsplurgeā and it is a great spot to do that! I will definitely be back again, but if youāre looking for more mid/affordable vintage pieces hit up your local vintage popups, and get those āgrailā/higher end pieces here.
Happy with my purchases. A great spot with great atmosphere and great pieces, but hope they can offer some more affordable options for their customers in the...

I started looking around and immediately I noticed he started to follow me. I just eyed a couple things and I kept noticing the employee continuing to eye me and follow me. It was just extremely awkward and weird. I just felt like I wasnāt welcomed there. Iāve been buying vintage for a couple years now and have got a pretty good collection of grails and regular vintage clothes and I have gone to a lot of vintage stores in NC, SC, Virginia and Georgia. All of the ones Iāve been to have had amazing owners and super welcoming vibes. But coming here I just didnāt feel welcomed. I saw some awesome items but the prices did scare me a bit lol. I know Iāve heard many say itās āoverpricedā but honestly some of these items are grails and hard to find pieces so I understand the price on some of them. But I saw some stuff I personally have that are on the lower end in rarity or value that I have bought at other places for maybe 30 or 40 but were priced at 70 or higher at Nothing New. Don't get me wrong, I really, really wanted to like this store but maybe that particular employee just didnāt like me. I donāt know. Like I said Iāve been to a lot of stores all over NC that are super welcoming and genuinely welcome all people but maybe just that day at Nothing New it wasnāt that. I may come back soon to check it out again, I donāt know⦠I just didnāt feel welcomed, I left feeling kind of ostracized and bummed out, never felt that way leaving a vintage store. Maybe next time I go itāll be different, I can...

There was something for everyone. You could shop and drink a beer at the same time. Shoppers and vendors did not have to worry about the weather because everything was indoors. There was plenty of space to walk around and see everything. You were not sitting on top of each other. It was set up great, the selection was wonderful and we hear they are going to do it again...
