The Wayside Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Concord

Evidently the cook didnt feel like cleaning the grill today until 4 of us decided to wall out. I have a food allergy, I explained this to the waitress. There was 14 of us together , the waitress comes out tells me the cook cant make my food there is nothing they can do about it cross contamination. I said clean the grill , use a clean spatchuala. I order a cheeseburger. The waitress says sorry cant do that. I said I cant eat here than. She walks off. 4 of us decide to get meals somewhere else that's when the cook comes out and says I cant cater to you and cook for so many people. I said all you had to do was cook there food clean the grill and cook mine no big deal. I wont be back and I'll make sure that people with food allergies know not to eat here. Hubby and I wanted to try Wayside for a while and were able to do so today. Decor could use some sprucing up. It was as clean as a Waffle House or Cracker Barrel,which is neither a compliment or a knock....If you have eaten at these places then you know what I mean. We had breakfast and my husband enjoyed the French Toast. I had a pancake, 2 eggs and bacon. Honestly, it was not good, just mediocre, like Denny's. The coffee had no kick. I was disappointed and don't see a reason today eat breakfast here again over WH, or CB. Our sever was FANTASTIC and my husband was sure to tip her well. Everyone seemed friendly. Maybe their lunch and dinner items are better, but we probably won't come back...

Amazing experience! At first I came in for breakfast and a new cook messed up on my order. I was in a rush trying to get to my doctors appointment I told them about the “uh-oh” and the lady upfront immediately asked for my name and told me to come back after the appointment and they will make it correctly. I get back after my appointment and they made my experience wonderful she said I can get whatever on the menu and she continued to apologize just overall great customer service.
