The staff are always friendly and helpful in providing information about the beers. The brewery offers various themed night events during the week, which are always fun. The outdoor patio is a wonderful place to enjoy a cold draft and conversation. They offer great parking and the bathrooms are always clean. They have an excellent selection of merchandise. Their draft taps are enclosed in a very cool blue broken glass mosaic, which is a very cool visual. In addition, Southern Strain Brewing Company not only has great beers, but they also have food. On July 11, my wife and I visited Southern Strain in Concord. We have visited the brewery approximately ten to fifteen times since they've opened, and we have never had a bad experience. On this occasion, our server was John. He was outstanding. He gave us excellent customer service and ready to answer any questions we had pertaining to menu and beer offerings. We engaged in a friendly conversation about beer and he was a pleasure to chat with. The beer selection was very good. The offerings would easily satisfy any pallet. I had a flight and ordered mostly the dark beers because that's usually my preference. The stout, brown ale, ESB, and Belgian were fantastic. The undertones, smoothness, mouth feel and taste was exceptional. As I was exiting, I happen to stop by the brewing area and was impressed by the equipment. The owners, who were in the process of brewing, were nice enough to allow me to take a quick tour and they were extremely informative and knowledgeable about beer. I took notice that each barrel had a name printed on the them and they told me how they were named. I suggest you stop in for a beer and ask about the Barrel names. Hidden gem alert!

From the moment I walked in, I fell in love with this old mill that has been transformed into a brewery, eatery, coffee place and Vintage shopping.

Tabatha greeted me as soon as I walked in, and I also got to meet Jasmine who helps runs the eatery. Both of these ladies have a genuine warmth and hospitality about them that makes you feel so comfortable.

There is a special vibe in this mill & you can tell the employees love working here.

Ty thoughtfully made me the Chimi Chimi bowl to try & it was packed with flavor & left me wanting to come back & try more off their menu. On Sundays, they have a jazz brunch from 11-2 that’s worth checking out!

They also have a space you can rent out—for weddings or graduations—maybe even a business networking thing.

They also collaborate with liquid voyage, a company that offers bringing a bar to any of your events. Annie, shared a photo with me of their sweet camper. I love how Southern Stain supports other local businesses in the community.
