Maids and Moore Conroe — Local services in Conroe

I just recently had my apartment "cleaned" this past weekend. Let's just start by saying that I was completely blind sided and pretty much given the wrong information. I asked numerous of times about the pricing and how it worked and Rebecca quoted me one thing and when I called they were charging me for about 120 for what they call "cleaning". The two hispanic ladies that came to my place did a terrible job, so terrible that me and my fiance had to go back and pretty much fix their work ourselves. Even though, my fiance told them to stop at a certain time to not go over the minimum, and because we had to go, she still kept going. They were trying to charge me for the time that she knew to stop. Before all of that, I was told by Katelyn that the maids would call me atleast 30 minutes prior to my apartment being cleaned, and the maids called me "10 minutes" prior to them being at my old place. I was furious because I had to rush to get not only me ready, but my children as well. When I spoke to the hispanic lady with the glasses on the phone, she had an attitude as if I was the one who was in the wrong. So, we get to my old place within 15 minutes after she called. The maids didn't show up until 31 minutes later than the "10 minutes". How do you call me and tell me that you're "10 minutes away", and get there later? The non speaking English lady spent almost 45 minutes in one room, in which wasn't dirty at all. My whole place I had cleaned myself already and I just wanted the maids to come in and pretty much just make it look more "sparkly". I was really disappointed with the customer service as well as the maids. My fiance is hispanic and he told them both in English and Spanish on what to do, and the job still wasn't done correctly, even in the time that we wanted them to stop. I will NEVER go through this again, and I can assure that a lesson was definitely learned. I lost a 100 dollars to this company, because of the miscommunication, but it's okay because the ladies needed more than I did..

Update: I know what was sent to my email, but an email and verbally telling me something different isn't the same. Again, after my fiance told her to stop at the EXACT hour and 1/2 she didn't stop. She in fact told him to call you all and let you know and that you would be able to credit back what they didn't do "routine clean". When she called me at 11:55, she stated that she was "10 minutes away" from my old apartments. Katelyn you told me that you would have them notify me atleast "30 minutes" prior to arriving to my old apartments, so that it would give me the adequate amount of time to get there. When we arrived to the apartments, we were waiting on the maids, and I ended up having to call them at 12:23(way after the "10 minute time to be there) asking if they were still coming. But, your workers didn't arrive until 12:26 to my apartments. The time that they did start cleaning was at EXACTLY 12:30. I have all of this noted as well. Again, I know better now then to use a maid, when in fact we could've done what they called "cleaning" in that hour and 1/2. I'm glad they were paid, but let's just state facts. If Rebecca would have been more precise and clear with her verbally telling me what she did, then I would've been okay. Thank you for your services, and I will take my business else where....

I contacted Maids and Moore to clean a rent house that had recently become vacant. I explained to them that the house is pretty dirty. I explained to them that all the carpet had been removed so the kitchen and bathrooms are what need the most attention. I was advised that it would be $250 for a make ready job. I agreed to the price and they came out a day later. I later received a call advising that they couldn't clean the house because there was an active roach problem, even though they had been there about an hour already. I told them I would have the roach problem taken care of and call them back to finish the job. I went to the house to see what was done. I arrived and found the lock box on the front door was unlocked. When i went inside I found the freezer door standing wide open and running. As I looked around I noticed that the air conditioner was turned down from 75 to 60 and running. As I continued to look around I then noticed the garage door was standing wide open letting all the AC out of the house and heat in. In the kitchen and bathrooms I could see that they had sprayed cleaner on stuff and just left it. I am just glad I made an unscheduled visit to the property and found all this before the AC or refrigerator was damaged. I later received a call from them and was advised that it was going to twice the original. It was now going to be $500 to clean the house. I had advised them that the house was pretty dirty when they quoted the original price. I understand wanting more money to clean the house, but leaving the house in that condition is not professional...

To give an overview: I work two jobs (between 60-70 hours a week), I have 4 dogs (one being a very energetic 6 month old lab), a cat, and a mother with PLS (who can no longer walk). So, I am constantly busy taking care of everything BUT my house.. Life has OVERWHELMED me in the two years since I built my home. Dark wood floors sounded like a great idea... until you have 4 dogs tracking their muddy paws in day in and day out. Every free hour that I have to myself, I'm always thinking about what I need to clean and what needs to be done in my home. I haven't had company over in months. I honestly was embarrassed (even to have a cleaning service come in) at the condition of my home between the fur, muddy paw prints, the wet-dog odors...

I finally hired Maids and Moore for their initial deep clean and bi-weekly services. I came home today after my initial cleaning from Kelly, Shirley, and Perla to find my house spotless and beautiful. Baseboards clean (which really pop against dark wood floors), tubs clean (one of which my cat had made his hideout), no dust ANYWHERE. For the first time, in a very long time, I feel like I can maintain my home without feeling overwhelmed. 5 stars really doesn't do justice for the job they did. Very professional and thorough. I am really looking forward to the bi-weekly cleanings and keeping my home in tip-top shape! You ladies have lifted a bigger weight from my shoulders than you realize. Thank you!
