Empty parking lot at 2:00. Walked in, saw lady facing towards me/entry sitting in a booth on her phone. Thought she was a customer. After almost 5 minutes of me standing there, in plain sight of anyone in the restaurant, waiting for "anyone" to appear in the entire restaurant, she looked up, jumped up, and asked "how many"? (Found out later, she is the MANAGER!!!). I ordered the Philly cheesesteak from another girl/server, with a request of "onions cooked thoroughly - not raw, but not burnt, either". Plate came out - the onions were "close", but still mostly burnt. Even worse, ALL of the steak was crispy and burnt. Starving at 2:15pm, I ate half. Bill brought to the table - I apologized for not telling the server sooner that I was a Veteran, and showed her my ID. She came back with the bill and placed it on the table, telling me she would collect the payment at my table. I thanked her, finished one more onion ring, and then looked at my bill. Only 10% taken off - Veteran Discount "participating" IHOP restaurants are required to discount 20%... So I waited for her to come back to correct my bill again, but she never came back. Of the change I had on hand, I was literally only 1 penny shy of the total for this 2nd bill, so I was forced to leave bill's only (no change), which gave her less than a 10% tip on the "wrong 10% off" total. Had I had that extra penny, she wouldn't have gotten a tip at all - I finally had to get up and FIND another waitress behind the rear walls near the kitchen, told her I had waited for about 15 minutes for my server to return, and I couldn't wait any longer... LET ME BE CLEAR - with as bad as the Covid-19/restaurant situation is - EVEN THOUGH I (sometimes) GET A DISCOUNT, I usually leave about a 30-40% tip. What a shame - the restaurant needs a...
Read moreI ordered take out. I got the world famous pancake combo with the NY Cheesecake pancakes. The only substitution I had was 1 Turkey bacon strip and 1 Turkey sausage link. When I received my order the pancakes had no toppings on them whatsoever; it’s supposed to include strawberries, whipped cream, and strawberry syrup. They also didn’t include the turkey sausage that I asked for. When I called to report the problem they were rude from the jump. They argued with me saying my order was correct as if I didn’t know what I ordered and then proceeded to tell me they were out of sausage links, but didn’t think to tell me that beforehand. I then asked what can be done to fix the issue and they said nothing because the order was “Technically correct” because even though they didn’t include the toppings or the sausage it still at least had the stuffing inside the pancakes. I drove 15 mins back up to the restaurant and the customer service was still unacceptable and the issue was still being unresolved so I requested a refund. The manager on duty then says it will be back on your card in 3 business days. He didn’t type anything on the register, he didn’t put my card in, he didn’t give me a refund receipt, or anything so how am I supposed to know that my refund was processed with no documentation? He then says he doesn’t know and that he text the store manager and that’s the only information they gave him. The store manager finally called him and walked him through the process of receiving a refund. He then gave us a refund for the wrong amount. From reading the reviews it seems like dining in is the best option, but either way I won’t be back and this was the first...
Read moreFirst I’m going to start by saying the absolute only reason I’m giving a 3 star is because of the waitress Ahleigha, otherwise I would have given a 1 star review. It was a busy night, she was manning seating people, answering phones, doing the line work, taking orders, pulling her tables (plus some), busing tables (plus some), and still being the friendliest one in there. The others working the floor weren’t keeping up at all in anyway, she was pulling the slack 110%. Then, we had a waitress (I believe from this restaurant) that came in with her husband and 5 kids. As my guest and I sat there and ate our meal, we got to hear how terrible she was to patrons. I was turned off to the point that if she is ever working when I’m there, I will walk out, even if there’s nowhere else to go. The sheer disrespect for people, and the way she spoke of the seniors that come in and like to sit for a bit and chat with each other after their meals really upset me. One of the less volatile things I will mention that she said, is she spoke how she purposely seats people to run anyone off that stays any longer than their meal. She’s a younger, heavy set, shorter Hispanic woman. I would be ashamed to have someone so cold hearted working for me or my company I work for. Definitely has made me think twice about this location. One woman should not be holding up the entire restaurant, she definitely needs praise for that or a promotion, and to have staff come in and speak that way right next to other patrons is inexcusable. The food was great, minus a few hiccups, but the service from our waitress made us not get up and walk out. She was...
