I went for a return (07/09/22) and the associate who was also a manager named Neda Biabane was not very helpful and gave the worst customer service I ever experienced. She was very biased and wouldn’t listen to my concern as a customer. I lost my receipt and she insisted that I didn’t buy the item from their store instead of making the proper verification on their system using the barcode on the tag which I politely requested her to do. She refused and said if I could give her a timeframe when I got the item she would be able to look it up. When I gave her a timeframe she refused to check again. She also claimed the item was not in good condition and was used but I explained to her that it was the reason I was returning it because I didn’t notice it when I bought it and no one used it from my end because it was going to be a gift for someone. I said I don’t usually return items if she wants to verify their system and I buy lots of things at this store but she wouldn’t give me that benefit as a customer. She was very rude and very impolite and did not even apologize for any inconvenience. I understand there are fraudulent returns but I hope they do their proper verification or check before making a prejudiced judgement. If that’s the kind of manager working there I wouldn’t want to recommend them and I will not support their business. Make sure you are not going to return your item so you don’t get in trouble with that manager or find another associate who is helpful. Everyone else in that store has been helpful...

I discovered for example, as a modest makeup user, NARS Eye shadow duo and a Laura Mercier lipstick I adore. But my favorite departments are fine jewelry, which fluctuate all the time. I’ve had great luck some days and other days not, but I never give up. Check out the Gucci picture frame watch I scored just on a random evening! Handbag selection has slimmed, undoubtedly due to the pandemic, but every now and then I find a hidden gem on the back of the rack. (Marshall’s is part of the TJX brand of companies and there was a beautiful Valentino tote hidden on the bottom rack!)

Read moreWalked into the store to find a volatile situation in progress. A male customer was screaming at employees at the desk, throwing merchandise at them and spraying them with disinfectant. No one was intervening and when I asked where the manager was I was told that there was no manager present at the moment. The cashiers were terrified so I started to approach the man and told him to get out now which he did after shouting lewd remarks at me. I tried to get the cashiers to lock the door but they told me they were not allowed to. The man came back into the store briefly but then left and proceeded to pick up the metal sign outside and hit the glass window with it several times. I encouraged the employees to call the police but they seemed unsure what to do and told me they thought that no one had .
