We arrived around 12:30PM on a Thursday in July. Parking is abundant as the restaurant is located in the Rio Hill Center near Kroger. Being in a strip mall, we expected the interior to be fairly plain; however, it has an Asian decor and is welcoming. About half of the tables were taken. We were seated immediately but it took about 5 minutes or so before our waitress appeared. We asked for the chicken spring rolls but they were out of them, so we skipped the appetizer. They have a very limited alcohol selection – a few beers and wine (that’s all it said so no idea what kind). We both had an IPA from Three Notch’d Brewery which is a local establishment. The food menu is varied and contains all the familiar Thai selections along with a couple of chef specials. I ordered the Chicken Panang Curry. The waitress informed me that it did not contain any vegetables, but they could add some which I agreed to. She didn’t mention an upcharge but there was one. My husband ordered the Kapao Catfish. The catfish was fried in small pieces. It was served on a cute fish plate with broccoli and other vegetables. Both dishes were very fresh and tasty. We had more than enough to take home leftovers. We would definitely recommend the food. The service, however, was a bit scattered, and they were slow to pick up...

The food is always great here and service is good too. I'm a regular here and have a few go-tos: som tum salad (papaya salad), spring rolls, Pad Thai, Pad Woon Sen, Pad See eaw, and Panang curry. Flavors are always on point. Only criticisms I have for the food are that Pad thai has too much sauce, and panang curry is a little watery. I've ordered Pad thai with light sauce and it was much better. Portion sizes are generous. Service is pretty consistent but can vary depending on if the restaurant is full. There are two servers who have to take care of the whole place themselves with no extra bussing/running support. They also do good business with takeout and answering phones. So if it's busy and you're waiting kind of long that is why. Waitresses remember regulars names and orders and are very sweet and attentive. Menu prices are fair. Will add a star for food if the pad thai sauce level and wateriness of panang curry is tweaked. Overall highly recommend...

I have been a very loyal customer throughout the whole pandemic when Lime Leaf only offered take-outs. I have loved the food here but this was my first time dining in and I have to say, the experience was horrible.

Food was good as always, but we waited for 1 hour and 15 mins to simplely get drunken noodle and panang. There was absolutely no communication between the waitress and customer. I had to ask twice on the status of our food and didn’t get water refill for the whole entire time. The waitress suggested us to get extra vegetables on top for panang and we did that. As it turned out, it was a scam because we got the same volume of panang with protein replaced with vegetables that we paid extra for.

They really prioritize take-outs. The whole time we were waiting for our food, we saw at least 15 take-out orders coming out...

The quality of the food is outstanding and the presentation is beautiful. The prices are comparable to other Thai restaurants in Charlottesville. In our opinion, a great restaurant for lunch or dinner. The wait staff is wonderful, some of the nicest and sincere wait staff I've ever met. We don't go incredibly often, but they have memorize our order and already know what we want before we order it. I'd highly recommend. Lime Leaf is the place, Good prices, flavorful food, big portions. Fast service too! Everything is freshly made. Best Thai in Charlottesville.

love this place. Great Thai food in reasonable price. I ordered chicken satay as the starter, green curry chicken and lime leaf noodle with beef this time. They are good, especially the green curry. I also order honey bananas rolls as the dessert which is delicious, I even forgot to take a picture. Normally I order red curry chicken and drunken noodles with beef which are also good. They only offer takeout at dinner time and the waitress told me they have dine in at lunchtime.
