Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Virginia

We recently went here to get a frozen diary treat. During our visit, we were met with a short and curt young employee and also an employee that has no idea what food safety is.

The first employee was just rude and had an attitude that told me that he didn't want to be there. He was quick to make our cone though and while he worked on our smoothie, my partner and I found an employee further down the line making waffle cones.

This employee had no gloves, regardless of the fact he was handling prepared food. He was standing between two waffle irons and as the batter was cooking, he would scroll through his phone that was laid on the counter. When the waffles were done, he would pull them out bare handily and move them to the cone shaper. Before he would start to roll them, he would bring his fingers up to his lips and blow on them (I guess he was attempting to cool his fingers down from touching the hot iron) and then he proceeded to continue to touch the food and scroll on his phone. He must have noticed us staring in horror because he looked up and smiled at us and continued. Not once in the 10 minutes we were there did I see him wash his hands.

I am not sure if this is family ran and they don't freight over this behavior, but I do. Since eating there, my partner and I have both had a chapter of food poisoning related symptoms and I believe it is from the employee's lack of care when it comes to...

Came here with some friends on a Sunday afternoon on a recommendation (we asked for the best soft serve in Charlottesville) and we're so glad we did! Absolutely delicious frozen custard and great customer service! Everyone was raving about the pumpkin and cinnamon twist, and the waffle cone options were so fun!

I love that they have a mini carousel here, which my kids would have been all over (and several children who came throughout our visit did enjoy)! The entire space was very clean, with a generous amount of seating, with the benches along the walls. There was a good amount of parking as well in the little shopping center, though I imagine it might be more packed on a hot summer day.

Saw several families come in, and there are high chairs for younger tots. They do offer kid sizes, which is good to know, because the small cone was a lot of ice cream for me. I got a vanilla and chocolate swirl with a chocolate dip in a cone and it was just so nostalgic for me. Not too milky/creamy, and substantial enough to hold its shape, with minimal cracking of the chocolate. Highly recommend for those looking for a frozen treat...

My friend and I came here on a nice, warm, Tuesday afternoon because I wanted a snow cone or shaved ice type-deal and my friend wanted a milkshake. The business was not busy at all and the lady at the front was very sweet! My friend chose the Reese's milkshake and had the malt added to it. I promise you he drank that milkshake quicker than it could melt and loved it! I had a couple of sips but I personally don't like milky type drinks or snacks when it's hot outside. I usually go for something fruity, with no dairy added. They do offer smoothies, which they use their yogurt for so they also are not dairy free. I didn't end up getting anything myself.

The establishment was clean and they are following distance standards. This would be a perfect place for a family to come and enjoy a scoop of ice cream, sundae, or even...
