So, I got the PM100 from a friend. He is moving to an apartment and can't use it. First impressions were good. The lid feels heavy. The fire box looks like it has a lot of life left. When I got it, it was dirty and had not been used for a while. I pressure washed it and took a wire welder brush to the metal. This is when I found that the bottom of the cook box had holes at the bottom of the box. It's not a huge deal as I can weld it and I plan to use it as an offset smoker and not build a fire directly on the cooking box, but still, It should not have rusted through. I own a Texas Original BBQ Pits offset smoker. The cooking box and the offset fire metal walls are really thick. I have no doubt that there is nothing that I could do intentionally or not that would make it burn through. But, overall, this PM 100 was free and I can restore it to near new condition and it should last...
