Horrible experience. Chris Suarez was in charge of sending two people to fix a hole on my roof and siding. The people came and put the siding crooked, used deck screws instead of siding nails which caused damage to the wood, did not use any sealant to cover the siding edges nor to cover the deck screws which again should have used nails. Now for the roof repair, the shingles that were lifted were left curving up, the plywood was not hammered all the way which left a long gap across my roof, underlayment was put on top of shingles, and even the branch that made the hole on the roof WAS LEFT IN THE ATTIC! ( which was wet and could have cause termites or mold)After explaining to Chris that it was sloppy work , he told me to send pictures and did not hear back till 1 week later that he was sending someone else to correct the issues. I called out from work to supervise the second roofer(inconvenience for my time and money ) and im glad I did because when he fixed the gap he had to remove some underlayment but did not replace the torn underlayment he did. He was placing shingles on top of bare plywood and when confronted abt not replacing the underlayment he tore off , he told me that it would be okay. After refusing and arguing with him that some underlayment needs to be on the plywood he tells me, if I want he will put it on(It’s not if I want, its what is needed to protect the plywood) I didn’t even check if that was done correctly because it threw me off how is this roofing company in business with amateur work. I told Chris about the situation and told me to call Fernando, after talking with fernando he tells me he was there for the first job, so he saw the sloppy work and called it finished. Fernando even said would come by to apologize and never came . To avoid headaches, stress and time do yourself a favor and avoid this unprofessional roofing company. My roof was leaking into my bedroom and bathroom. I called 3 roofing companies. The first Company (not rooftop) came out and repaired the leak however it continued to leak. They were also very aggressive and condescending. The second one was too expensive. The 3rd company I called was Ben with Rooftop Solution. Ben came out, crawled onto the roof in the pouring rain and put a working temp repair on the problem that finally stopped the rain coming in my bedroom. Ben was very calming to work with. He NEVER pressured me to take his business or to hurry making decisions on anything. He came out gave me a quote and left it in my hands whether I wanted help from him or not. He answered all my questions right away and explained everything very well. Most people in this situation aren’t prepared to deal with all this but Ben made me feel good about my decisions from hiring him, to picking the shingle brand, color and dealing with my insurance. He went over the schedule for install day down to being right on target of how long it would take to finish. I and my two toddlers were in the house while they replaced the roof and it wasn’t terribly loud, especially with the tv on for the kids. When the guy arrive early to drop off the roofing supply’s he rang the doorbell to make sure my car was not in the garage before they blocked it which was nice however I would suggest leaving a note on the front door telling them you’ve moved your car if you don’t want them ringing the bell at 6:30am. Even the people who came afterwards to pick up the dump trailer looked around the driveway to clean and make sure no debris or nails were on the ground.
