All About Birds — Local services in Tomball

My husband and I are strong bird enthusiasts, we are always up to visit bird stores around and we found this one on Google recently; About Birds is almost an hour away from our home, but we gave it a look anyway. We have a Sun Conure, a Green Cheek Conure, a Quaker and a Cockatiel, but we agreed on getting another Quaker. Mary welcomed us and brought us to the room where all the parrots are to look at them, and we fell for a 10 year old, rehomed female Quaker. She was extremely sweet and we just wanted to cherish her for the rest of her life. We came back two days ago to get her, and now she is being vocal at home and already love us too much haha

About roaches: We didnt see any, and even if there was, its a really common problem in this area. And also, bird owners cant fog their place, so its not something they can do much about so its okay. Just check everytime you buy something.

About the store: It is well kept, the bird room is big, they can all see each other and have enough space for themselves (compared to another bird store we went to...). The store has everything you need for your pet parrot.

used to use ABC birds by the airport for our macaw, Boo. They would put him the back room and it was dark. My husband found Mary’s and she is awesome. Mary retire and Hailey took over. Both ladies are great and very knowledgeable about any bird. During the snow storm in February, we just landed from Alabama and didn’t have time to get Boo. We woke to a huge snow storm and Boo would have to stay a few more days due to weather. They lost power and Hailey and her dad drove that day and got ALL of the birds and took them too her house, talk about being impressed with them. We never worry about him when he is there. We always know he will be well taken care of. There is no other place where I would take my macaw for boarding and they also do a great job with grooming Boo. All About Birds is a great place for bird supplies and they also groom beaks and nails. The supply of bird toys is quite varied and they have toys I haven't seen anywhere else. All the proceeds from the sales go to support the Magnolia Bird Sanctuary. So you know your money is going to a worthy cause. They also have a nice selection of quality bird food.
