I recently adopted a dog who came from an abusive background—she’s very skittish, paranoid, and easily traumatized. She desperately needed grooming, but since it was Labor Day weekend, I couldn’t find anyone open. I reached out to this grooming service in Converse, Texas, on a Saturday evening after 5 p.m., not expecting a reply until the next business day. To my surprise, I received a thoughtful text back, asking about my dog and offering guidance.

What impressed me most was that even though it was after hours, the owner took the time to reassure me. We ended up messaging back and forth until around 8 p.m., and she patiently answered all my questions. While I don’t recommend contacting any business after hours (because business owners deserve their personal time too), I was deeply appreciative that she chose to make time for me. That level of customer service sold me immediately.

When I arrived, I could see how much effort had gone into making the space cute, welcoming, and professional. The place was spotless and thoughtfully decorated, which gave me confidence right away. She estimated the grooming would take about two hours, but I got a text after only an hour and a half letting me know my dog was ready.

To my relief and joy, my dog was calm, happy, and completely at ease when I picked her up—something I rarely see because of her past trauma. She looked absolutely beautiful, smelled amazing, and I could tell the quality of products they used was top-notch.

After living in the San Antonio/Converse area for about 3–4 years, I can honestly say this is by far the best business and customer service experience I’ve had here. They went above and beyond for both me and my dog, and I am so grateful...

I took my miniature schnauzer to Pup Country this afternoon for a Thera Clean bath. The Thera Clean is a bathing machine that produces micro bubbles, able to penetrate the skins outer layer and clean out follicles...where the hairs are rooted. The results are nothing short of amazing!!

My dog has an autoimmune disorder that affects his nail beds and the nails slough off. It’s painful at times. When his condition flares, I’ll do anything to help him get past the rough parts. I’d heard of Thera Clean and thought, why not...I’ve tried everything else.

Prior to his appointment, I gave him a good bath. You should also know that I’m a professional groomer so when I bathe my dogs, I’m getting into all the nooks and crannies. By bathing him before hand, everyday dirt was removed so the Thera Clean could do its job more effectively. To be honest, I was skeptical.

The results were NOTICEABLY different...by sight and by touch. Areas that I thought couldn’t be cleaned, like blackheads and imbedded dirt, are now gone. I can only imagine what this bath will do for dogs with chronic skin issues such as yeast.

Not only was I impressed with the results, i was impressed with the handling and care of my dog. He fell asleep for the entire ride home...not his normal behavior! He was so relaxed!

The bath treatments are so affordable, too! Even if your dog doesn’t have skin issues...it’s worth it to have the bath done just to get the skin thoroughly cleaned at a deep level. Money...

It was our first time here and they blew me away! I've never seen her look so cute before! They trimmed her areas as specified, got rid of her tail matting, but still fluffed her out as cute as possible with the length they trimmed. I did request the shaved feet so it does look weird but she gets dirty frequently so I asked to make it easier to maintain for myself, that was all me.

We've had issues with other groomers cutting into her skin since she has bumps on her back, but they did an amazing job to be careful with our girl. She has no nicks whatsoever and the bows make her look so precious. It can be hard dealing with poodle mixes since her hair grows so fast & gets tangled easily as a Bernedoodle. I'm so happy to have found a place who can be careful with their dogs, upfront with pricing, and make them as adorable as can be.

Still going here 2 months later and they took good care of all 3 of my dogs! I adore the seasonal designs of the photobooth too 🥰...
