I was excited to try this place cause of their high rating however I was extremely disappointed. They only offer dip powder and gel and only a few color choices. I donāt like gel on my toes but went with it cause I was already there.
The pedicure was fine. Nothing special, nothing bad. The woman who did my pedicure was sweet.
They did my manicure at the same time as my pedicure. I donāt mind this cause it saves time, but I know a lot of people donāt like when salons do this, so want to note it.
The manicure is where the bad review starts though⦠I keep my nails short and my nails were extra short cause they were brittle due to previous gel polish damage. I prefer them short and repeated this to the man numerous times. He insisted on putting tips on and told me my nails were too short and would be better with tips. I told him itās fine, but he must cut them as short as humanly possible. I get my nails done pretty often and have never been told my nails were too short to do anything with. Hell, I painted them myself a few days before and they were fine⦠I am just not good at painting my nails so wanted them to look a little nicer.
Anyway, after reluctantly agreeing to tips, I showed him an inspiration pic of bright pink to light pink ombrƩ in dip powder. I had told the woman at the desk who welcomed me I wanted dip powder (due to the damage done by gel as mentioned earlier). He looked at the ombrƩ pic and said it was cat eye. It clearly was not. I figured it was similar enough to a cat eye and maybe that would be cool, but the colors he showed me for cat eye availability were severely lacking. I picked out one that looked close enough. When he brought the color over I realized it was much more red than I originally thought and I asked him to change it to bright pink. At this time, I also saw him bringing over the UV light so I clarified that I wanted dip powder.
He went and found a bright pink dip powder and I loved it. Not realizing he was still going to do cat eye over the top with the more red color AND use gel. I didnāt know cat eye is only done with gelā¦and I didnāt want cat eye to begin with. But, he had already started.
He also put on tips and they were far too long for my liking. I had just given up after awhile - l was sick of repeating and trying to explain myself. I know this isnāt a good approach, but I was seriously over it.
So thatās how I spent over $100 on a pedicure I didnāt want (gel polish) and a manicure I DEFINITELY didnāt want (tips, gel, red, cat eye). After my shock faded I almost went back to have them fix it, but I donāt have the energy to deal with them.
I feel like they could sense iām not used to having to speak up for myself (donāt have to at other salons) so they took advantage of me. Charging for tips, cat eye, and they also added on a foot massage (however informed me of the price add on before doing it).
I will never return here. It may be partially my fault for not putting my foot down more, but should I really have to be aggressive about what I want when paying for a service??? I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere to start.. so I've gone here for months now and each time I got the same lady JD sitting at table #8. She would never listen to what I wanted and after getting her for the 4th time she not only cut up my cuticle area while filing very aggressively she ignored me when I told her she hurt me. Then she made me bleed even more, I sat through it in tears and I swore that was the last time I take mistreatment. There was also a small cockroach crawling out from where I sat and it went toward another customer and when I told JD she then told the short manager guy there and they just laughed. I don't know what they said what nothing was done about it. Then I saw the cockroach 2 more times... so I elevates my feet the rest of the time I was there. I got my lashes done there for the first time ever in my life when I first started going to that salon and the manager did them horribleeeee! I asked for a natural look and he gave me wayyy to many, probably because he did them in clumps which later pulled out chunks of my lashes. Now I'm terrified of ever doing my lashes because of that experience. So the last time I went I made an appointment over the phone and asked for anyone besides JD and he asked why so I told him how she hurt me like a dozen times the last time and gave me attitude when I asked for shorter nails. He promised me he will take care of me and not to worry. So I got a very nice lady with tattoos who did not hurt me and seemed to care. I told her about my past experience there and she apologized and told me she would help me everytime going forward. So I go in to see her and the manager tells me to sit at table #8. I asked if I could have someone else and he said no the other lady has an appointment already. So I sat at #8 and the lady did not even want to greet me, she was on the phone so I got up and left and am never coming back. They genuinely do not care and I have never had a nail salon that made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Shame on them honestly. I went to a diff salon and actually got treated like a person, the lady listened to what I wanted, acknowledged me and actually got to know me, if something hurt she would stop, I did not leave injured and bleeding, I was not ignored and I got advice on what color looked best on me when I apologized about being indecisive I did not get attitude in return. And I now go to Nail Bar across the parking lot š The picture is the last set I got from JD at table #8, it was sooo lumpy and embarrassing to wear. I asked for a round square and got thick...
