todays date I came into medpost on 78 to be treated for severe back pain. The nurse practitioner on call James Whitley was in charge of my care. I was charged the $100 per my insurance which for someone in my financial situation is a lot especially without receiving care. When the nurse came in asked me a few questions and without full knowledge of my background (only knowing I have sickle cell trait) said he would more likely not be able to treat me and if the UA came back normal he will send me to the ER. Not once did he mention he would check my spine (after requesting it) or anything, I explained to him I didn’t have to funds to go pay the ER $400 just to be seen and that I needed him to do whatever he could do based on the clinic to receive as much information possible. From the moment this individual walked in I could see he had an issue with caring for me (not to make it about race but I am African American) I then spoke to a nurse and asked if there was someone else who could see me instead because I felt he wasn’t trying to help me. He came back to the room upset talking about he had been a nurse for 25 years and he knows what he’s doing I then told him I was paying and I wanted at least an X-ray to which he responded with no because he didn’t think it would help any. He then got upset telling me that I didn’t want to listen to his request I then responded with “I am the patient coming with a concern and my expectations aren’t being met” I wasn’t there for pain killers or anything of the sort I just wanted to make sure my kidneys weren’t being affected since I do have a history of kidney infections and that there was nothing more severe surrounding my spine, He started yelling (which I recorded for my safety) he proceeded to tell me I was no longer allowed at the clinic ( not on his days but allowed at the clinic at all) I then told him I would like my money back he said he would refund me but if I report him he’s not going to give me anything (I will call my family attorney) I told him I had NEVER been treated this way EVER he responded with “well do you ever get what you want when you go to the hospital” umm yes actually I do that’s what hospitals are for. I would like to place a proper complain, I will like my money refunded as well. Also, when I asked him for the information where I could place a complaint he very bluntly said “I’m not going to give you that, you can ask the ladies at the front” if he hates his job so much for the safety of others he needs to be removed from this clinic. Be extra careful when coming to this clinic being under his care. If the ER finds something they could have handled here I will file a suit.
Edit to add; my attorney called back and this individual has had several complaints filed against him already and somehow he’s still practicing, this man will kill someone one day. Also adding to the fact that most complaints are coming from Hispanics or...
Read moreI went to the medpost urgent Care on Tuesday morning the 2nd of May I was complaining about chest pains I paid $75 copay I was seeing probably about 20-25 minutes later they took my weight they took my blood pressure and they did a EKG on me but no one in the place could read the EKG I didn't really have the time or I wasn't thinking about getting my money back cuz I was thinking about my health and they advised me to go to the hospital and I went there but now the two women was awfully nice but I did not pay for niceness I paid for help and I was not able to get any help at all and I really feel like I've been beating somebody really needs to give me back my $75 and if you have any urgent Care issues I really wouldn't recommend this place at all not by far now the ladies there they're awfully nice but they're for limited to the help that they can provide for you and not only this I work in the community so I meet lots of people everyday and I had mentioned about the urgent Care down the street and lady told me that she had went there as well and she couldn't get no help and I take it it was a male nurse that helped her and he asked her what else could he do for her cuz he couldn't help her out either she said give her back her money and I feel the same way I feel like I need to get my money back and go head on about my business and don't look back but I definitely do want my money back that's going to be an issue with me because I did not get the service that I paid for in fact I really didn't get any service at all because if they would have told me these things in the beginning I would have went to the hospital and I wouldn't have made a stop there at all but now that I know I will not be returning there and this has been my experience with these people they're nice but...
Read moreHad an appointment set up for pre employment drug screen which required a urine sample. I normally cant go when i need to so i made sure i drank fluids at home before going up there. I arrived at the front counter literaly hopping from side to side ready to burst and she asked if i was close enough to being ready and i quickly confirmed i was ready. I showed her my appointment confirmation which has a barcode which i believe contains all the information neccessary for a swift registration process but instead of scanning the code with her scanner device she has me go online to a website which i have to enter all the company information myself such as company name, phone, email, postal address, supervisor name and phone number, ect ect. You cannot skip any of the fields because it wont proceed without an entry in each one. I scrolled and scrolled all the way to the bottom to see how just how much inormation i needed to enter and it was too much at that moment.
ARE YOU KIDDING I GOTTA PEE!!!
I asked if i could drop my sample first and fill out the form afterwards but she said no i have to retister first so with all that said i had to step into the restroom and waste my sample because i nearly pissed on myself. I thought scanning the barcode was supposed to eliminate that step? She was very noncaring nor accomodating whatsoever. Now i have to get another appointment set up if...
