Belk — Local services in Conway

Thursday night I made a purchase, the clothing did not fit so today I take the merchandise along with tags & receipt back in for a refund due to the pricing of nearly 100$ for one shirt & dress pants- somehow the upc on my receipt for the shirt did not match the product in their system via upc (came up as makeup), 3 employees & a hour later my refund was completed however I received bottom line customer service & never got a simple apology for the inconvenience &/or hour of my time spent dealing with this issue. Very small Belk compared to the store I frequented up in Knoxville TN. Was greeted upon entering by an associate. That same associate, Mikki, took time to ask me if I needed assistance and when I told her that I was looking for sheets…she laughed and said that they were right behind me! And they were! We engaged in some casual conversation and she even went back into the stockroom and brought me out a couple of sheet sets in the size that I needed! Thank you, Mikki! The associate who checked me out was as equally as friendly. Unfortunately, did not get her name but her associate # from the receipt is 015229. She saved me an additional $10 by searching out some extra points I had! Great service and a pleasant...

This is really a sad site to see, a dying shopping center with no support. Most of the center is vacant, Belk's is open, though there is not a lot of inventory to look at, and trying to find someone to help you is difficult at best. Shame on the City of Conway for letting this center die, they need to revitalize the property and WORK to get reliable retailers into the mall again... I don't blame Belk's, at least they are trying to hang on, come on Conway step up and make a difference, it can be done, look at other cities in the US that have gone through loosing major anchor tenants at once vibrant...
