Maryland Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Conway

Last night I was behind two customers who recieved really beyond pitiful service, I heard the shorter black man order some thing to the affect of a "shrimp bucket" or maybe a "shrimp combo" and the girl behind the counters response was literally "we dont have that" I watched the man and his friend stand there completely dumbfounded for a moment looking up at the menu and he finally decided that the order was actually a "shrimp dinner" I believe their order was number 23 or 24. They walked over to a table to wait for the food, I ordered and the girl couldn't have been more pleasant to me a 30 year old white dude. I heard them both muttering about what "expletive service that was" I would say they waited 15 or so minutes for the shrimp dinner, while another customer (also white) recieved their same order a shrimp dinner moments after ordering it. The building is small and wasn't crowded at 7ish last night so you can hear pretty much every order coming right from the customers mouth, and again when the girl calls it out to the cooks. Finally the mans order was up he asked if it came with a drink (after clearly seeing all dinner type orders come with one) and was told "No none of the dinners come with a drink" not only is the customer service in this place garbage, but clearly blatant racism also goes unchecked...

I hate leaving a one star review here, but I feel it's warranted in this case. There's a lot of good to this place, and the fried chicken, when done right, is top notch. When it's good, it's very good.

Today, I had it and the chicken seemed like it was cooked about 20 minutes too long. It was terrible. It was so dry that even the dark meat was tough. It's hard to screw up the dark meat that bad but they did it. If that was all it was, I probably wouldn't have left a review, and I would have written the experience off as a bad day for them. But no, it got worse. My daughter asks about one of the rolls she was eating and I see that there's green mold growing on it. We inspect the other rolls and it looked like it was just the one... wrong, I found the mold on mine after I'd eaten half the roll and noticed it tasted off. I think the insanely dry chicken covered up the taste initially.

I leave a lot of reviews. I seldom leave 1 star reviews. I know this place is a beloved restaurant in the area and I hope they figure things out because it won't last long if they keep serving food like that. I placed a phone to ask a question , so I wouldn’t be going there for nothing wasting my time and their time and when I called somebody picked up the phone and hung up . Then I proceed to call back and they take the phone off the hook and sit it on the counter .. I know this because as keep getting a line busy tone I walk in to see why their not picking up the phone and I see the phone just sitting on the counter as if they are not trying to take calls , which is unprofessional to me. It wasn’t like I was trying to place a order over phone because I’m pretty sure they don’t do that being that it’s fast food but I wanted to ask a question just to make sure I wasn’t my time and their because some of their employees act like they are very mad that they had to come to work that day , and I know it’s hard for fast food employees to have a good day because I worked fast food before and customers can really make you go to a place you don’t want to but that gives you no reason to treat a customer bad unless they are rude and mean to you .. like I tell a lot people that choose to work fast food I didn’t make you take this job and I haven’t done anything wrong to you so no need for the attitude and have...
