Conway Fresh Meat — Local services in Conway

I stopped in Friday afternoon and was looking at Ribeyes and New York strips. The pre-cut stakes looked nice so I decided to buy a whole New York strip and a hole Ribeye. I only had one New York strip to choose from and 2 ribeyes. I picked the ribeye I thought looked the best. Got home and started cutting steaks and noticed there was no where near the marbling In the steaks as the pre-cut ones I looked at in the store. I cut everything up, vacuum sealed everything and left one ribeye out to cook on the grill. It was without a doubt the toughest ribeye I've ever tried to eat in my life. I ended up throwing a third of it in the trash. I try to buy local to support the community but, I can't eat those as is. I'll try one out but, I'm sure the New York strip is gonna be just as bad , if not worse. Every bit of that meat is gonna have to be ground into hamburger. I've bought my last steak from Conway...

Is the meat fresh ? The answer is as fresh as it can be as it's cut and packaged at a meat processing plant somewhere else and delivered to them just like Food Lion or any other food store gets their meat no different.

Conway Fresh Meat is NOT a real butcher store if that's what your looking for.

All of the meats are delivered to them in a cryovac plastic bags they simple cut them open and cut up the meat. They don't have half of cows or pigs on the hoof hanging in a refrigerator like a real butcher store but to be fair they are not advertising that, they are advertising "Fresh meats ".

The staff is friendly but not in a hurry so be patient. They except cash , credit ,debit and (SNAP...

I was born and raised here in Conway along with my family for generations. Now, when you have people from coming all over the country to move here, (Idk what's so special about Conway lol) there's NOT any room for any kind of looking at what you want in the store. They need to find a bigger place with MORE parking and be able to move around other people. I couldn't even look cause 3 women were at the end talking to each other and holding up the long line. Don't do that. Have courtesy for other please! I had to leave and ended up having a panic attack. It was just too many people in there. Food prices aren't that great either.
