Carolina Calabash — Restaurant in Conway

I would definitely never recommend this place to anyone. I was driving through and decided to try this place .I love calbash chicken. They had the Saturday buffet. There wasn't any calabash chicken on the buffet. There was a few fried drumsticks, wings , and thighs.I asked the waitress about why they didn't have any calabash chicken. She said they only had the chicken on the buffet. She did bring me three chicken strips that they cooked ,which was nice of them to do . The fried 🦪 oysters weren't good .The fried scallops were alright. The mashed potatoes,and salisbury steak weren't edible. When I checked out I was shocked that one buffet and drink was $ 26.00 . Which it was after lunch hours .It was 4:00 p.m , & that's dinner prices . They didn't even have a salad bar , oh and they had two desserts , some not so good banana flavored pudding with some vanilla wafers in it , and sweet potato souffle . I should've checked the prices , I didn't see them posted and didn't expect it to be this expensive for such a small buffet .There's huge much nicer buffett's for cheaper than this . Did not realize that a new owner had taken over the place this year. Wish I had known sooner because I SURELY would have been eating there much sooner. We were really happy with our meals. We chose a southern food dish with plans to go seafood on the weekend. It's totally satisfying! I would highly recommend it! Update.. we have been back several times now and have not been disappointed. They are consistent with the quality of the food. I recommend this place for sure! Hadn't been here in a long time but was happy we came....The staff were friendly and helpful,food was really good,fairly good choice on the buffet and a lot more you can order off a menu....came in again today and everything was great,staff was friendly and helpful,food was fantastic....and the price is very good Again we ate here today (2/10/2023) and food was great....(fried chicken was SLIGHTLY overcooked but still delicious) the fried fish were fantastic,another visit (04/14/2023) and everything was FANTASTIC,and Friday is seafood night with crab legs as an option on the buffet and it's a LOT cheaper than driving all the way to the beach and they are just as good...
